Just Read an article about polish hussar cavalry.... help?
Just read an article stating that the polish hussars of the 16th century were the best ever in the world, it said that they havent lost a single battle for 250 years.
If that is true then they are badass....... with fluffy wings. lol
Has anyone got any more info on them ?

Yes, they were badass - and our heroes. Winged Hussars' wings are even today used as a symbol - mostly by fans at various sport competitions.
More info:

And two most famous battles:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Kluszyn
with third, not as famous, but proving Windeg Hussars' bravery and skill - Battle of Hodów, where 400 hussars managed to successfully defend themselves against 40 000 enemies. Thats 100:1 ratio. Polish Thermopylae - but this time won by defenders (Leonidas - learn from us! ;) )
There was time when Winged Hussars' charge was unstoppable. All enemies were simply smashed. It's not true that they did not loose a battle in 250 years, but it's true that they always did their job, even when battle was lost.

Superior training, equippment, bravery and incredibly high morale. That's why those soldiers were winning battles against much more numerous enemies. It was truly elite cavalry - maybe the best in the world.
