Well, in my opinion, the "proof" lies within your mind / heart / and your experiences. Because ya know how many holy books have been written throughout the ages, right? So if one's right, what makes all the others wrong? And who's to say that any of them are "right" to begin with? Because man, as a species, has been searching for the meaning to their existence since almost the very beginning of time. So undoubtedly, there were people out there who saw that as an opportunity, to either make names for themselves, or to lead other people, so then they conjure up something, then swear to it's relevance and authenticity, and most people around the world & throughout time are/were easily duped. So it's very easy to believe something that's presented, if you're in need of something to believe in. Because "beggars" can't be "choosers" usually. And the weak minded / willed, are usually the easiest to mislead, thru written or spoken word. And if not allot of thought goes in to your actions, then you might be the next to be "hoodwinked"! I'm just saying.

But it's each individual's right to decide what's right for their own selves, even though some others may try to influence them.

God incarnated (took on human body) to die for our sins so that we can go to heaven. now why was this necessary? well, remember the 10 billion seats from before? yep, they're all empty because everyone went to hell. there were only 2 people that went to heaven (enoch and elijah). so, God didn't want all people to burn in hell, so He provided a cure for this - He died on the cross for our sins and went to hell to pick "believers in Him during their lives on earth" to take them to heaven. now most people go to hell too, but christians don't. why? because God said that if you believe in what He did for you on the cross, and feel sorry for your sins, and stop sinning, you'll go to heaven.
