Jesus was never here?
Jesus is nothing but an amalgamation of various other "sun" gods of ancient history. In "Bible Myths and Their Parallels in Other Religions" by TW Doane, he posits that The Essenes monks, who spent a great deal of time in the Library of Alexandria, where information on all the ancient religions were stored, created an "angel messiah" based on Buddha and others, which then evolved into "Jesus" as we know him today. The probability of a non historical Jesus, The most potent argument that jesus was one man instead of an amalgamation of myths attributed to one fictional character is the writings of Josephis which have even been declared to be most likely fraudulent by both biblical historians (including staunch apologists) and freethinkers alike.

your spot on. December 25th was the birth of the Sun God long before the Son of God. See how they threw the of in there? The Christian faith has a long history of absorbing pagan cults and morphing their celebrations.
Easter was originally the rebirth of the spring goddess Esther. And it was insulting to the Goddess to wear old clothing...hence the new Easter Sunday hat.
You can actually look all this up people. and as far as proof of Jesus. Why is it that with all these Kings he supposedly pissed off there are no recordings of him in Jewish texts or roman texts that were not church affiliated?

Sorry- Have to disagree with you strongly.
The first-century Roman Tacitus, who is considered one of the more accurate historians of the ancient world, mentioned superstitious “Christians” (from Christus, which is Latin for Christ), who suffered under Pontius Pilate during the reign of Tiberius. Suetonius, chief secretary to Emperor Hadrian, wrote that there was a man named Chrestus (or Christ) who lived during the first century (Annals 15.44).
Suetonius also wrote about the persecution of Christians during the reign of Nero. "The Christians were punished; a sort of men of a new and magical superstition." His criticism of the early Church affirms that this was a "new" religion that had recently appeared.
Pliny the Younger, was born near Milan, Italy in A.D. 62. The historian Pliny, a close friend of Tacitus, served as a consul during the reign of emperor Trajan and was later appointed governor of the Roman provinces of Pontus and Bithynia [Turkey] in the period A.D. 101 to 110. He wrote to the emperor to request specific instructions about the interrogation of the Christians whom he was persecuting. In his Epistles X 96, he states that these Christian believers would not worship Emperor Trajan and would not curse their leader, Jesus Christ, even under extreme torture.
Then you have the Jewish writings of the Old Testament! How do you explain these?
The Biblical texts that were written hundreds of years before the Messiah (the Dead Sea Scrolls prove this) tell us about the Messiah....
The Bible tells us that the Messiah would be…
• Born in Bethlehem The Jewish prophet said so in Micah 5:2
• Born a descendant of David The Jewish prophet said so in Jeremiah 23:5
• Live a sinless life The Jewish prophet said so in Isaiah 53:9
• Do miracles like Moses The Jewish prophet said so in Deuteronomy 18:18
• Enter Jerusalem on a donkey The Jewish prophet said so in Zechariah 9:9
• A rejected man The Jewish prophet said so in Isaiah 53:3
• Die as a substitute for others The Jewish prophet said so in Isaiah 53:5
• Rise from the dead The Jewish prophet said so in Isaiah 53:10
• Come before 70 A.D. The Jewish prophet said so in Daniel 9:26
• Have an impact on all nations The Jewish prophet said so in Isaiah 49:6
Sorry - Jesus did in fact exist and only He can change your heart.

You do not know what you are writing about. Flavius Josephus wrote about 20 different men named Jesus, but he NEVER wrote about the biblical Jesus, although about 200 years after Josephus died some Christian (probably the Bishop Eusebius of Caesarea who wrote that it was acceptable to lie in order to promote Christianity) redacted forged passages about the biblical Jesus into the works of Josephus. Archaeologists have found the writings of Josephus to be the MOST reliable source for information on first century Palestine. You should try reading the works of Josephus before you start making ridiculous statements about him and his works.

That is some uninteresting horse dump. Josephus writing do depict the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70. Do your historian say that was not true and that it did not happen. Also, Christians heeded Christ's pronouncement of the destruction of Jerusalem written in Matthew 24 and 25. Fact! Not one Christian was killed during the destruction of Jerusalem. That pretty good for the prophecy of a non-existent person.
How it is that your historians discount the account of the apostlic fathers, men who knew and had contact with the apostles? The apostlic fathers believe the apostles accounts of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ was mentioned in various wrtings of the period. Tacitus and Suetonius, both Roman historian, wrote of Christ existence. Pliny, governor of Pontus and Bithynia wrote of the existence of Jesus Christ. In the writings of Hegesippus, he spoke of the existence of Christ and his testimony was accepted by the Edward Gibbon, the English historian.

Just as you, with this bit of writing will go to any length to prove or try to prove the none existence of Jesus ( for unknown reasons, why would you do it anyway??)... Mr Doane, did the same, in a more extensive writing apparently.
Someone who would go to such lengths to prove something, has to be pretty much bothered by that idea of Jesus existing at all. If you do not believe in Jesus, so be it. .I really do not care, one way or the other....but I do wonder why you and Mr Doane, went so far as to try to prove it was not possible for Jesus to even exist. What did you hope to gain from it.?
I do not believe in Santa....but I sure as heck am not going to write a 2000 page book on why Santa does not exist. Why should I.?
And therefore I ask.....why should Mr Doane do so with Jesus? Unless ....he doubted himself.

My understanding is that "Bible myths" does not mean that their was not a man, who had great incite and wisdom, who had lived. It only shows the warped changes that governments have made to keep truths hidden. If I were you I'd also research, "Saint Issa." Where Issa, translated from Egyptian to Hebrew is Jesus.

False, the existence of the man Jesus Christ has been proven, the only thing that I would argue was never there was the whole magic thing, I think that was all a collective hallucination of all the drugs done up to that point in history.

Well....most all the places Jesus walked were described authentically. Lets take the pool of Silam which has just be recently excavated. It is authentic in every way. Chiapas home outside the city walls, the Golgotha, the tomb, the cities, the see of Galilee, the synagogue.....on and on.

Dude, TW Doane can take his book and shove it up his you know where. The only book that matters is the Bible.

nice piece of fiction you have there but I am very familiar with his works and the thousands of proofs that Jesus was indeed a very real person in point of fact there are so many eye witnesses and historical and other proofs that he was real i would venture to say there is more proof that he is real than there is that you are real
Source(s): The Bible numerous historians over 5,000 eye witnesses archeological proof
