What are a man's rights where having children or terminating them is concerned?

I haven't quite formulated my own opinion on this yet, but it seems like an interesting topic. What are your thoughts?

Update:

You're not looking at the other side of the coin, though I don't suppose it will change your answer. What if he wants the baby, and she doesn't?

LEGALLY he has no rights to the child until it is born.

morally if yo uare asking for opinions, if it takes two to make a child it should take to to decide what happens with the child.... but unfortunately that is not the case

The man has no rights. It is understandable that he has strong emotions and opinions on the subject, but no rights. The baby has a right to life. The mother has a right to autonomy in her own body. If she wants an abortion, the two rights are in conflict. If the baby is still immature enough that it is more a part of the mother's body than it is its own being, then the mother's right outweighs the baby's right. Otherwise, the baby's right to life supersedes.

Since the father is neither the baby nor the one carrying it, he doesn't have his own rights, he can only assert the baby's rights as its parent. But the law assumes that if the baby were capable of making such a decision, it would choose to be born. The father does not need to assert any opinion on it's behalf and he cannot assert any opinion in contradiction to what the baby would want.

It is best if the mother considers the father's opinions and they discuss the matter together, but it is her body and the baby's body. He can have opinions, but he has no rights.

As a man, you have the right to have children with any woman that will accept your seed. The government doesn't really get involved in this process either way, though not everybody is biologically able to have children.

As for terminating children, that is strictly verboten. You can terminate a fetus in all 50 states, but if you terminate a child you will find yourself in serious hot water regardless of whether or not it was yours.

Legally- if a baby is conceived, it is up to the woman whether or not to keep the baby. There was a court case where the deadbeat tried to sue her since he told her to terminate the baby and she didn't. The woman of course won; you can't force a woman to destroy a child once it is created. It is part of her body, and to terminate you would need to violate her body.

He has no rights until the child is born.

It is solely the woman's decision to continue or terminate the pregnancy.
