The 3.0 Core 2 Duo E8400 is still a solid gaming processor, but it's an older generation dual-core which isn't strong enough to handle the latest games on maximum settings (those require a quad-core). So anything higher than a Radeon HD 6870 or GeForce GTX 560 (non-Ti) wouldn't be worth buying unless you upgraded the CPU as well.

It relies upon on what you utilize the CPU's for. in case you utilize the Q8200 it would artwork swifter with classes working interior the historic past, which might utilise that. although, in case you had E8400, it would be extra effective for gaming because of the fact the twin center completely makes use of video games and there has yet to be a pastime to completely make the main of Quad Cores. So in case you have been identifying to purchase a gaming gadget decide for E8400, yet while no longer decide for Q8200!

gtx is good but to pricey and nvidia are expensive cards that focus on speed rather then quality
Nvidia cards are made cheaper and sold expensive the company really focuses on the card looks with cheap plastic and a shiny cover, while AMD Radeon focuses on graphics and speed together AMD ati cards do run hotter cause more Art are in the cards to do real work to take the stress and workload Off the cpu.
Nvidia are like Intel they can care less for there CPU/GPU pins: its a money gamble and a waste.
Go with a AMD!
Highy refer the AMD ati Radeon HD 5870 or the AMD Ati Radeon HD 4850 512 crossfire,
If i had a Nvidia choice it would be the Twin frozer or the Evga 9800Gt series

The 240 gts should run just fine for that setup...and it also has an hdmi port for streaming movies to your tv which is nice to have. I strongly recommend that one.and it wont bottle neck your system either...like higher end cards do.
