Christians, what's ANOTHER name of Jesus Christ that means a lot to you?

Think about the many 'titles' or 'names' that Jesus has.

You can think about this from the NT or OT and choose one that

means a lot to you.

It's better you take one and explain WHY it means so much rather

than just list a lot of them.

Meaning gets larger when you invest of yourself here.

The bible has been written, for a long time. We Christians

love the bible, what it says, but

now it's our turn, the 'book of Acts', our turn to 'homologos'

mix in our love for one of Jesus' names with one of Jesus'

other names,

thus,

causing a greater adherence to Him, a closer relationship,

for it is our belief that 'He hears us'. When Someone has

'done it all' for us,

then, when we acknowledge Him, acknowledge the meaning

of one of His names in our lives, or how this OUTWORKS

for us, this would bring joy to Him.

In this dark world, that would be pleasing to Him.

We want to do 'all to the glory of God',

and

it is my prayer that this will let you do just that tonight, today,

as the case may be.

I always enjoy hearing your precious thoughts,

family of 'God' (Theo).

    I have come to like thinking of Him as the Word of God made flesh.

    I used to think that was an awkward title, but it seems so right now.

    I must confess that I surely do not understand Jesus fully,

    but this title of Him seems right to me... The Word Made Flesh.

    I usually call Him Lord, God, or Jesus when I pray.

    In hymns that I sing, I refer to Him as The Light of the World,

    the Star of the World, or the Light of my life.

    I like how in Beethoven's Ode to Joy,

    there is a play on the words "son" and "sun"...

    Joyful Joyful, we adore Thee,

    God of Glory, Lord of Love.

    Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee,

    opening to the sun above...

    Thou our Father,

    Christ our Brother,

    All Who live in Love are Thine.

    Teach us how to love each other, Joyful in your Love divine.

    I feel presumptuous when I think of Christ as our Brother, but I realize that we are received by God as His true children. Only in rare moments do I dare to feel like Jesus is my brother.

    I love and accept Him,

    but I feel utterly unworthy of claiming to be His brother.

    I think this is wrong of me.

    Jesus really is our Brother, our Creator and our Savior.

    He also is our servant, since He clearly has done much for us.

    When Jesus told us that the greatest among us are those who serve as the humblest,

    He must have meant that He Himself is the greatest servant,

    since He humbled Himself so severely on the cross.

    If I had too choose only one title for Him, I think it would be Savior.

    I am dazzled when I have the decency to remember how much I need Him.

    Without Christ's salvific grace, we all would be lost.

    He did not have to come for us, but He did. That really amazes me.

    I am Roman Catholic.

    Peace be with you.

    Those of satan's kingdom were so sure they had me firmly in their clutches, and rightly so, as wretched and corrupt as I was. Yet the Most High somehow delegated my release and took captivity captive.

    In those tougher moments, when darkness pervades, I aim to think on these things.

    As the healing rivers of thanksgiving flow through my being, the name that surfaces and stands above all others, as the waters of the Red Sea stood upright as an heap above the dry land; is - Mighty Redeemer.

    Comforter.

    We sometimes forget that Jesus said;

    John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever;

    This is implying that we have received a Comforter of the same type that Jesus is, so lets see the Scriptures which reveal this same "type" of Comforter that Jesus is;

    John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

    John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

    John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me:

    John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.

    John 16:8 And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

    John 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on e;

    John 16:10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see Me no more;

    John 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

    John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

    John 16:13 Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.

    John 16:14 He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.

    John 16:15 All things that the Father hath are Mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.

    And then there is the word which describes the relationship that Jesus has with us - "Friend."

    Saviour. Jesus has saved me in every sense of the word "save". But most importantly he will save me from the 7 year tribulation that is about to fall onto this world.

    In Latin, Jesus' name is Lesous (J was added later)

    That translates into either

    The Pig or The Swine -- or

    The Sun (as opposed to son)

    I call him Peace
