There is more symbolism in the painting. I'm trying to determine as much as I can about the image so I can use it to illustrate scripture and I want it to illustrate the right scripture (I've made faux pas before). Are you familiar with the latin?

Based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church where it states that there can be no contradiction between science and faith as science is part of God's revelation to man about the physical reality (#159), isn't the Catholic Church making another mistake like it did with Galileo? Are they now TOO QUICK to side with the science of the day? We already know that after a hundred years, there is still zero evidence for macro-evolution.

Sunday, and I listened to several tv preachers, and never has it been as bad as I heard it today. One thing most had in common is when they said "God's Word tells us..." followed by something God's Word doesn't tell us or is completely out of context, they fail to give the scripture reference. So do you know your Bible enough to know what is true, or if you don't know, do you jot it down so you can look it up yourself or do you just take their word for it?

This was just posted as proof of macro-evolution by someone who seemed quite serious. Is that what is being taught in our schools? Or do they teach macro-evolution as unproven theory whereby one species changes into a different species? (for which there is zero evidence)
