Catholics: Do You Know Qvam Repromisit Devs?
A painting called "Allegory of Salvation" from the 1600's shows a man studying the Word with an angel beside him pointing to a Crown. Over the Crown says "Qvam Repromisit Devs".
There is more symbolism in the painting. I'm trying to determine as much as I can about the image so I can use it to illustrate scripture and I want it to illustrate the right scripture (I've made faux pas before). Are you familiar with the latin?
@Dart - No need to be embarrassed if you don't know the Latin.

It means "which God has promised in return." I would assume the 'which' refers to the crown, since both 'quam' and the Latin for crown (corona) are feminine singular. Undoubtedly the reference is to the biblical promise of a 'crown of life.'
