Atheists & Agnostics- If Christianity were True, Would You Become a Christian?

Update:

@WhereAnglesDwell - We all make the choice to bow our knee to Jesus, or not. The Truth of Christianity would not make those "christian" who do not chose to follow Jesus as Savior.

Update 2:

@WhereAnglesDwell- If Christianity were true, would you bow your knee to Jesus as Lord and Savior? As you can see from the answers below, many wouldn't.

You mean if the basic 'Jesus as the son of God, died on the cross, rose from the dead etc' were true? And if the Christian god could be demonstrated to exist?

I'd accept it if it could be proven, but I wouldn't worship that god, not after the things he's done. There is a rather large difference between belief and worship and I wouldn't be willing to do one just because I had the other.

@ a depressingly large number of responses. I thought theists were the ones with trouble dealing with hypothetical situations, there's a lot of atheists being particularly pig-headed here. This is just a request to explain what your stance would be if what is known to be true were different, how is that so difficult to deal with?

If it were universally accepted as "true", there would be no need for the question! The thing is, even "Christians" can't seem to decide on which truth fits best. If they could there would only be one denomination. As it stands at the moment there are 30000+ *true* versions of Christianity to follow. They obviously can't all be right, but every one of them are potentially wrong.

That's about as far from truth as you can get.

No. My opinion wouldn't change. I'm not christian for a number of reasons. It's validity is very low on the list. The "truth" of Christianity is based on opinion. I'm sure Christians believe it to be true. But I don't. That's it.

Christianity is true. It's a religion - no one can deny the existence of the religion.

It's the beliefs within Christianity that prevent me from becoming a Christian. I don't believe in any God, simple as that.

When I was younger I did believe Christianity was the true path. When I posed deep questions of it and myself, I realised I was allowing myself to be fooled because it made me feel comfortable. I looked at other faiths briefly and recognised that they used the same formula.

Seems to me that they are not ready to face reality. Maybe it's a spirit of pride and rebellion that has taken hold on those who refuse to believe if they had a chance to hear the Good News already.

If it were true then I would be utterly confused. And I don't think you have a choice of whether or not you would be Christian if it were a certainty. Everyone would be. The right minded would be pissed.

Jesus seemed like a decent chap-mostly, but his boss sounds like a fascist bully so no!

this doesn't make any sense. if it were 'true' there would be no such thing as an atheist and agnostic.

edit* you still write very badly, be concise and i'll answer you candidly.

edit* you've just completely changed from your previous remark. And you still haven't answered my question. In fact you never really answered my question at all.

Christians if you figured out that you're literally related to each other would you become atheist?
