Spiritually Speaking: Would You Vote for Someone who was a Mormon for President?

No, I won't vote for someone who IS mormon for president. If you knew more of the facts behind Romney's political charade, you wouldn't either. The LDS never stopped believing Joseph Smith's promises for them since he ran for presidental office in 1844. He had every intention of instituting an LDS-run theocracy here in the US first so his religion could take over the world. Now they see their chance in their boy Romney. Even if outsiders believe its a myth, why do the LDS firmly believe they will rule the world someday, starting with the US? They truly believe Joseph Smith's separate religion of mormonism comprises the sole collective moral conscience and embodiment of godly wisdom for the USA, Israel* and the world. Ask them. Don't just take my word for it.

Galations 1:8-9 warns us against people who teach a different gospel. The only question is whether the Mormons are teaching a different gospel, or the Catholics and Protestants are teaching a different gospel. I have seen evidence that Mormon beliefs match the beliefs of many early Christians, so I believe it is the latter. I believe it was the Catholics, and by extension the Protestants, who were so quickly moved out of the way.

Mormons weren't around back then. The threat was from Greek philosophy. It wasn't just the Galations, but Rome itself that whored after it. That is why modern Christianity has pagan teachings mixed with Biblical truth, and why their pastors still wear the black robes of the philosophers.

Galatians 1:8-9, actually the set is verses 6-12, do not teach against the Book of Mormon. Paul wasn't speaking apocalyptic. He was speaking to the early church and warning them of the apostasy. He was warning them of false doctrines of their time.

I would have no problem voting for a Mormon, if his/her views agreed with mine.

As for Romney, you do know that his father ran for President? He almost made it but his views on the Vietnam war changed once he had been to Vietnam and seen what was really going on. That is was killed his chance to become the President, not his religion. In fact, his religion was not brought up during the campaign. Shows the way things have changed in politics now.

Specifically for the Mormons that are running now for president, No. I don't agree with their political stance. But I voted for Harry Reid but knew lots of Mormons in my own community who wouldn't vote for him because they didn't agree with his political stance. Yea, you're stating spiritually speaking, but that's the problem, technically a man's or woman's religious belief shouldn't be the reason you should or should not vote for a man or women. It should be because you disagree with his political stance or you don't agree where he stands on the issues.

After all Christ stated, rend unto Cesar the things that are Cesar's and unto God the things that are God's.

The position of President is a secular position NOT a religious one. If you don't vote for someone because of their faith, or because of their race, or sexual orientation then you're just being bigoted. Period.

i might inform you who I wont vote for; Obama. i'm a Christian and that's necessary me that the president has Christian values, however the President isn't a non secular parent. i ought to study extra approximately Romney's place, yet he looks extra advantageous then Obama in spite of religion.

I would not vote for someone who condones bigotry (read: Jeffress).

Would it be as opposed to someone who had Muslim roots? Muslim roots that

weren't well disclosed when voted in? Would I rather vote someone in who was

pro-homosexual, pro-Muslim, anti-Christian instead?

If I thought the person was very susceptible to Mormon influences (based on their

past work), I would likely steer clear...but again, depending on their platform.

I can't see USA, atheists, homosexuals, militants, conservatives, republicans,

the wealthy, the street people allowing a Mormon to get away with much really.

That person would be oh, so watched.

i wont want a mormon to be preacher of my church, or sunday school teacher obviously, but when it comes to choice of President, we are usually left with lesser of two evils. It is either MItt Romney or other non believers as president. Or worse still, you get a sheep in wolves clothing like George W Bush (who weirdly enough, many fundamental christians loves), who plunged USA and the world into the recession we are in now etc etc. So the answer is a possible yes.

I would vote for a canoe if I thought it would fix things...
