My nephew smokes cigarettes in the house. What can I do?
I am separated from my wife so I live with my parents. The thing is my half nephew also lives here who is very manipulative of my parents and has some kind of control over them because he gets angry when he does not get his way and he also practices witchcraft. My parents let him smoke in the house and my father is afraid to confront him and make him smoke outside because as he says he "doesn't want to get into a fight". He is not the grandson of my father but is the grandson of my morher. Well anyway I have a problem that I breath through my mouth when I sleep now but when i wake up in the morning I have to go to the bathroom and hack up tar and nicotine off the back of my throught and spit in the sink with running water. I know it is tar and nicotine because it of the color and the times that I leave my bedroom windows open at night I do not have the problem in the morning. When I leave the windows open I also wake up more alive then when I do when i don't. But the trouble it is winter and I can't always do this because sometimes it is too cold to do. Is there anything I can do to make him stop even though this is not my house and my parents let him do it. Is there anything I can do leagal or otherwise to make him stop smoking cigarettes in the house?

Ok, firstly you are not coughing up nicotine, only tar.
Secondly, keep hiding his cigarettes somewhere outside and lock the door when he goes out to smoke. I would also kick the crap out of him for bullying your parents - why can't he live with his own? Have they 'washed their hands' of the little sh!t themselves?
Bottom line, he is a guest in their house, do what you have to to make him respect that.

You should find his cigarettes and break them in half. And if he goes outside and wants a smoke hand him his cigarettes and tell him that he's not to smoke in the house (obviously get your parents to back you up otherwise he won't listen to you) but he can smoke outside and then lock the door. He'll make a fuss and kick the door, but if you ignore him, he'll get fed up and smoke outside. You should also an X-Ray of your lungs and show him the X-Ray and tell him his second-hand smoke is affecting your lungs and your throat. Do the same with your parents and show him the X-Ray of their lungs. It should hopefully scare him into not smoking, or at least, doing it outside. And a couple of weeks later, take him to the hospital to get an X-Ray of his lungs and that should make him puke and scare him into quitting smoking.

Well possibly you will have to take and take a seat him down in a room in which you and him will also be by myself and inform him how this makes him suppose and if he doesnt quit smoking begin removing his cash or kick him out and in case you do kick him out inform him to get top at his peers condominium

How old are you and how old is he?? Kick his ****!
I smoke--but I don't do it in my house--I have a 5 year old little girl... I don't want her growing up with lung problems.
Your parents need to put their feet down.
I doubt there is anything you can do legally since it's your parents house... but....oh boy..let me think about this for a bit.
