Do you think you come across as a nicer person on facebook or yahoo answers?
I think personally for me, yahoo answers. On facebook, I hardly go on and if someone tries to chat with me, I'm never in the mood and usually try to end the conversation, but its hard to if you want to avoid hurting anyones feelings or coming across as a *****.
BQ: Is it just me or does facebook get too much attention? that may come across as kind of hypocritical with the context of the question, but it is mentioned in every publication, newspaper, etc on every second page.
@lllcooo : and why is that?
edit: I'm not ranting. I'm just seeing if anyone else feels the same. Someone could come across as a nicer person on facebook and yet still think it gets too much attention.
So maybe before you say that I am annoying, try to understand that there are different ways to looking at it, okay?
@hollie: I agree with you

Well for me it's about the same, I am, who I am, whether it be on facebook or yahoo.
But to put them put into prospective, I would say the people I talk with on facebook, and basically the same as yahoo.
But then again I only use to go on facebook, to check up on family and see how they are all doing back home plus checking up on new photo's of my grandchildren.
As for friends on facebook go, I only have a few around 58 people I think, and 90% of them are from R&P.
But then again I don't do nothing on facebook as far as any activity goes, outside of a small goup we have there that are regs from yahoo R&P. And it's only in the last month that I have been hanging out there, as I have basically left yahoo, after 4 years. Outside of answering a question here or there.
The one thing I like about our small group on facebook rock & roll, is one can actually talk and share their love for music, where on yahoo one can't, as on yahoo, is filled wih trolls, and idiots that hide behind mask, and think they are tuff, and know they can get away with what ever they want to say, plus yahoo actually lacks the freedom of really getting to know each other as one can on facebook.
Over four years, on R&P yahoo, I have seen many great users of that site leave, because of the cowards, and idiots on there. On yahoo, you can be who ever you want to be, you can report people without reason [which happens on a steady basses.
But to tell you anything of how they compare to each other, outside of that would be unfair from my point of view. As I said I don't really know that much about facebook, except with the little corner of it that I use. But comparing that little part with yahoo, facebook wins hands down.
But to be honest, I have to say all of the people [which is not many] that I'm in contact with on facebook are all old regs from R&P yahoo, and some that are still active in yahoo.
But one thing for sure, I can and do talk more freely about music on "yahoo" rock and roll facebook, without the fear of being reported, and as members of our music sit, we can talk about things more openly than on yahoo answers.
So that is all I have to say on that matter.
take care

I think I come across quite honestly on Y!A as I just give relevant and hopefully friendly answers,
but Facebook makes everyone look like an idiot because a status is like an answer to the call of narcissism and self-obsession / the desire for approval.
I even avoid adding family whose opinion I care about over there.
The moment I use a flattering profile photo I feel like one of those common self obsessed girls and have attacks of guilt. It's just so far from reality, Facebook is.
I have some "friends" on there who I hardly consider to be friends and would probably not enjoy spending five minutes with.
BA: It does, yes, but unfortunately its what the world has boiled down to because physical contact takes a larger degree of confidence and bravery and honesty which are traits that humanity seems to lack at the moment.

That's a good question, I don't really know how I come across on yahoo answers. On Facebook, I come across a lot more social than I actually am.
BQ: It's definitely overrated. I'm also pretty sure Facebook has ruined several aspects in my life; it's lowered my grades and fcuked up some relationships. Life would be better without it.

On here. Probably because I'm not on FaceBook, so I can't really compare the two. I try not to be to big of a jerk on here.
BQ: FB is very popular, billions of people are on it, if I recall correctly. But, it seems everything and everyone says "Like us on Facebook." I guess I think it does get too much attention.
