Need ideas for games to play at a child's birthday party [8 yr, boy]?

Hmmm.... school gym makes me think sports type games. Potato sack races are fun I dont care who you are! Twol legged race etc... shoot the hoops games, I reccomend doing a mix of group games and independent games. Maybe ring tosses, or A balloon pop game. You pin the blown up balloons to a board and inside random ballons are small prizes. Maybe small cash, or a gift card, or something. You could write the name of the prizes on small slips of paper and insert into the balloon before inflating. Then get out the darts and let them try their luck.

Wow !!! party video games are so cool and relaxing to think of up. Definitly a piniata. Kids love that. Make sure its good candy not choking hazard stuff. Make sure you give them goody bags to put the candy in as they grab it. Then give out goody bags @ the end of the party to all the kids.
