Whey protein and building muscle help?

I am 17 years old boy and I am thinking of starting using some protein powder to help with my muscle build and toning. I have a set 4 mile run every night and do some relatively short home workouts (max of about 30 minutes morning and evening).

I was just wondering if starting using whey protein powder is going to help build my core muscles even though I do not spend hours and hours in the gym. If it is ok for me to start, what would you recommend?

I would also like any advice for effective home workouts for abs, chest and biceps.

If you have any advice and can answer any of the points mentioned, please do!

Thanks You.

Yes, it is something you should definitely weave into your training regimen. Remember, protein isn't just about building muscle - it also helps preserve the muscle tissues you already have. You might have noticed that a lot of runners look weak and fleshy. This happens because (due to the long runs over many years) they exhaust all of their protein supply, both dietary and what they have as muscle. So taking a protein supplement before and after your run and/or additional training is highly advised and beneficial.

Another thing to keep in mind, whey protein is very fast-acting and gets rapidly absorbed by the bloodstream and muscles. I would recommend that you consume a 50/50 carbohydrate/protein mix about 20 minutes before you run, and then a 100% protein mix when you're done.

If you want to take it to the highest level, get yourself a tub of Milk casein protein, and consume that at bedtime. It is a VERY slow digesting protein that will keep your muscled fueled and well-nourished all night long as you sleep. Good luck to you!

I'm 18 and i started Whey protein for muscle building. My answer to your question is. Well protean drinks or shakes wont give you muscles like (Jake from Twilight) but it makes muscle building easier. You don't have to work out as hard and lift heavy weights. From what I can tell your just like me. Your vary active and you do short workouts. Every morning I have a Whey protean shake for breakfast and I work out after school for about an hour. Lifting weights, doing lots of heart pumping workouts. ive noticed my muscles are less tence after workouts and less sore after workouts.

  • You do not to spend hours in the gym. I would recommend exercising for at least 30 minute and you should not exercise for too long unless you keep yourself hydrated. If you were to to be overweight, exercise for at least an hour and a half. If you are not overweight, exercise for at least 30 minutes. I am an Online Volunteer Fitness Coach who would be more than willing to help you get into shape. As for supplement, the best supplements, with the least amount of side effects, are whey protein, Monster Milk, on Muscle Milk. I have created perfect exercises and am currently working on creating more. i dont use it myself but i heard that if you want to really build muscle you cant do it without whey protein. i also heard that its best to have a drink that has equal amounts of protein powder and maltodextrin immediately before and after a workout.

what you wish to have do to is cross on a cycle of simply aerobic to reduce your fats then to achieve weight again within the type of muscle you must determine for a minimum of six months to realize a change that's substatial. the quality factor you'll do is take an amino acid and different suppliments to accompany your whey. however i could reduce that fats first thats what you must do different intelligent youll achieve muscle however seem extra fats! however speak to a nutritionist at your neighborhood suppliment retailer, speak to one of a kind ones too becuase in addition they is also looking to promote you anything you would no longer want.
