A countless number of my clothes have shrank after washing them. Be careful when you dry cotton fabric in your dryer. The consequence of using too much heat is that it was cause the fabric to shrink. Make sure you put the correct setting on your dryer prior to washing cotton. The setting depends on the type of dryer but most have a setting for cotton. Usually, there is a diagram above the dial but I count on my mother to take care of it for me.
