Serious Bible students only: What does 1 Cor. 11:3 teach about a true Christian's belief?
As this is talking about after Jesus' resurrection to heavenly life, does it not agree with John 20:17?
Some interesting comments, thank you. What about Jesus having a head over him in both Scriptures, showing his subjection in relation to his God?

Just as Jesus is under the headship of his Father Jehovah, relative headship is also assigned to the man, both in the family and in the Christian congregation, but this does not mean the man can use this to dominate his wife and children or ''lord it over'' the congregation. The man is answerable to Jesus Christ, his head. Headship is to be exercised in a loving, tender and compassionate way, a wife should feel loved and valued, appreciated and tenderly cared for; the congregation should also have the confidence to approach the ''older'' men, knowing they will be treated with empathy and with brotherly love, well cared for spiritually, encouraged and built up.
For those reading this who hold to the trinity doctrine, it shows them that Jesus is NOT part of a triune deity but is God's Son, Jehovah God is his Father, and the Father is his head, as Jesus said in John 14:28 toward the end of the verse: ''the Father is greater than I am.''
So all are reminded that ''God is [a God], not of disorder, but of peace....1 Corinthians 14:33; there is a loving headship arrangement, that Jehovah is God and Jesus is his Son and not part of a pagan trinity.

John 14:8-9 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Acts 28:26 Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:...
John 8:56-59Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
John 5:39-40 You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
Jesus is the LORD, Jehovah, JHVH, JHWH, Almighty God, one with the Father and the Spirit.

No. one GOD the maker of all, Christ was the son of God , given of God as our savior (mankind) ,man and woman Thus woman to serve man and man to serve through Jesus Christ whom was given of God as our savior of mans sins of disobedience. So God our maker gave Christ which was given to spread his word for man to obey (though we as a whole are guilty) on obedience. Thus woman to serve man . Basically this referes to her husband.

1 Corinthians 11:3 has to be read in context with the specific situation Paul was dealing with and what follows. "Now I want you to realise that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God." The subject under discussion is propriety in public worship, not male-female relationships in general. Paul is concerned, however, that the proper relationship between husbands and wives be reflected in public worship. He desires that all be done to the glory of God. As Christ is in authority over man and is to be honoured by man, so the husband is in authority over his wife and the husband is to be honoured by his wife. Paul’s message to Christian wives was simply to show respect for their husbands, especially during public worship. There is a God-given principle at work here.
A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man… In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God” (1 Corinthians 11:7-12).
We need to go back to Genesis 2:20-24 to understand the background. After creating Adam, God made a woman from one of Adam’s ribs. Adam said “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’ for she was taken out of man.” For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” In Genesis chapter 3 Eve admits that she was deceived and Paul refers to this in 2 Corinthians 11:3 and 1 Timothy 2:14.
The Bible makes it very clear that the husband is responsible for the spiritual, emotional and physical welfare of his wife and their children. Above all, he is to love and care for her and she is to help and respect him. “Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:24-25).
I fail to see the connection between 1 Corinthians 11:3 and John 20:17. Nobody was allowed to touch Jesus before he returned to his Father. However, 1 Corinthians 11:3-16 is all about the God-given order of things within the Christian church and the important part is that within the One Being of God, the second person of the Trinity is the head of the church and is the head of man. The Christian wife is to be in submission to her husband. Just as Christ is in authority over man and is therefore to be honoured by man, so the husband is in a position of authority and is therefore to be honoured by his wife.
