Military Cuts how does this create Jobs?

How are these latest rounds of military cuts help the US?

Understand that Cuts vastly affects our economy

Job impacts:

Cutting the military too much causes

Job loss in private sector:

Contractors to Military

Service industry to service men and families

These businesses must cut workforce ( fire people) to stay in business or go out of business

= Increase in unemployment

Direct loss of military service people ( their paying jobs) and discharge into civilian sector

= Increases in Job seekers and Unemployment

So Military cuts like these make sense when it closes business, decreases jobs

increases Job seekers and makes the country weaker?

(thought Obama was creating jobs not destroying jobs OMG )

Update:

Obama, as Smart as he is supposed to be, does not know that what saved the USA from the great depression was WWII and the Military!

I know a guy that lost his job as a direct result of cuts. Look, yes some buisinesses are destitute on the military, but they need to be like the rest of the industry and take their hard times as we do. Im in the construction industry as an engineer, and I can tell you its all federal money and no private people have any cash to spend on new buildings. Times were very slow, and profits werent great last year. We do need a military, but the question always is how big. Now that iraq and afghanistan are drawing down and billions have already been given to defense contractors over the 10+ years of war, its time to scale things down. We dont need the expenditures that have been dished out over the past decade anymore. Where defense will lag, other industries will receive government contract monies to supplement their industry. It shouldnt always be boeing, raytheon, lockheed, etc. always benefiting from government contracts. A 25-40% draw down of the military would be appropriate, and yeah jobs will be lost but its happened before in history its not like their going to be destitute and never find a job.

Tax cuts for the midsection-class and small agencies create jobs. Tax cuts for the wealthy do no longer, as 8 years of Bush established. Capital earnings spending (the taxes that impact how a lot a employer can spend) surely shrink with decrease taxes for the wealthy.

    @Lamia - Couldn't be anymore wrong

Defense only accounts for 5% of our GDP. The wars certainly were not the sole cause of bankrupting us. Welfare, collapsing social security, having to bail out national banks due to the debt crisis, health care reforms, etc were all much greater causes.

Fact is, the defense industry is pretty much the only industry we haven't outsourced out of our country (especially to China). Therefor it is our only profitable export as well.

Obama is trying to pay for his ridiculous heath care plan by allowing the Defense Department to take the biggest cut. Drawing down a military in the middle of a war with two regions we are involved in that are very unstable has left many people scratching their heads wondering what the hell that idiot is doing in office.

Almost every job that is being cut from the military is being outsourced to civilian contractors. Also, the increase in the defense budget due to the wars is what caused the economy to crash in the first place. With the defense budget being lowered, that resulting extra money thats not going into the defense budget can be put into other non-military budgets.

This is in the UK aswell. You are right, but an Afghan pull out in 2014 will save Billions. which they are doing
