personal advisor jsa question?
is it possible to cancel a interview with my personal advisor at the jobcentre + to attend training 5 day training course which was not paid by jobcentre+., and can it effect my jsa?
ps, the course was paid for while not claiming jsa and was paid for a by a close member of family whom i will have to pay back in the future.(Note i still wont have recieved a payment from jsa until a wekk after the course has been completed.
Im just a little worried about being sanctioned. !thanks!

You can't just call to cancel but if youhave proof of a training course you can contact the jobcentre and ask to rearrange your appointment for a different day. Because it isn't organised by the JC tey can consider formal action however if you have proof you you attended you shouldbe able to appeal the decision if you are sanctioned. You should have discussed it with your advisor at your previous session though as you must have had notice it was taking place. It really depends on how unreasonable they are and whether the training course will actually benefit you but you can always appeal.
If you haven't attended any appointments to start your claim yet you may have more problems as it won't be started until you attend and sign on the first time.
