If you do not believe in a deity or God/Goddess than it should be A-deist not Atheist...
The meaning of an Atheist is without (A) Theos Greek for utterances or sayings. Theist comes from the word Theos. We are all atheist if we do not believe in one another’s utterances.
The word god comes from the German word Godan/Gotten which comes from the Norse male myth deity Wotan/Odin.

Thanks for the sentiment. You should always reserve belief for evidence. I have noticed that the atheist on yahoo seem a lot more educated than the bible thumps. Most atheist can spell too.
