How can I tell if my 98 Volvo V70 GLT is an AWD or just Front?

Just wondering for when I look for parts.

If you do a VIN check on Auto Check, it will tell you.

    Hi,

A V70 GLT is just a standard V70, the GLT stands for the slishness of the model, you would know if it was a awd by the rugged looking alloys and possibly body kit, also the car would have slightly raised suspension. It would also say AWD, XC or T5R on the back. If you are still unsure try settiing off in the car with a few revs, if the car wheelspins it is front wheel drive, if it hunkers down and sets off its AWD. Hope that answers it for you.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net/ that has been around since 1995.

Look for a differential between the rear wheels. A drive shaft going back there? Use the VIN# (take registration with you) when getting parts. They can tell with that too.

Look under it if it has a drive shaft going to the rear then it's awd
