Go to the YouTube home page. If you are already signed in click your name at the top right corner of the page. Then click "Video manager." Next to the video you would like to edit is a down arrow. Select "Annotations" from there.

Hi, you can't put words in video on youtube directly, you need to download the youtube video onto computer hard drive first, then use a right software to put your words onto the downloaded video and re-upload onto youtube. I usually goto keepvid.com to free download youtube video, then use Youtube Movie Maker to add words on the downloaded video, then upload the new video onto youtube, that's easy, run youtube movie maker, add your downloaded video into the program, then drag and drop the video onto the video line, write words on text lines, then press "publish to youtube" button, you will get a new video on youtube with your words, you can download youtube movie maker from makeyoutubevideo.com, and view below channel for some online guides, youtube.com/easymakevideo, hope above info can help you.

All you do is go into video manager, select your video you want to put captions in. Then go to captions, or annotations, or whatever you want to and select where you want to edit them into.
