I'm looking for a church hymn?

I'm just going to say right now that I haven't been to church in a looong time.

However, I do remember a hymn we used to sing, and I was wondering if someone could find the name for me?

Actually, I don't remember any of the words, just the tune of it.

And that all the young children were set to sing "Hallelujah" in tune to the lyrics that the older kids and adults were singing.

Does it sound familiar to anybody?

Update:

I'm looking for a *specific* hymn and I cannot remember any of the lyrics-just the tune- which is why I'm asking on Yahoo instead of just googling what I remember of the lyrics like I usually do.

I'll elaborate a little bit,

At the same time, the younger children would sing "Hallelujah" in the same tune as the older kids and adults would sing a different set of lyrics.

I could even count the number of Hallelujahs, if you'd like! I'd sing the tune too, but it doesn't go over well on the internet.

"Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Halleluh

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, halleluh "

And then, it repeats for two verses while the other people are singing the *actual* lyrics.

I hope this helps? I'd really like to find this song.

is it a hymn or a vbs type song? I know of one where one group says "hallelujah" while the other says "praise ye the Lord" and they switch back and forth with one group standing at a time while they shout the words.

Of course I can't give you tune here, but goes something like this:

"hale lue, hale lue, hale lue", (then first group stands and shouts)"hallelujah" (then next group hurries and stands while shouting) "praise ye the Lord!" then immediately first group stands and shouts "hallelujah"

it's a lot of fun and the kids and grownups alike all enjoy the friendly competition.

Edit: Sorry Alyssa, I don't have a clue. If you'll post what type of church that you attended, you might get help from those of like faith. Also, if it was from a hymnal, can you remember anything about it, like the name or color? Try reposting your question with a bit more detail, you'll get a new set of answers, and best wishes in finding it!

Would it be: " Hallelujah thine the glory?"
