Who was the last Pacquiao opponent you gave a good chance of winning beforehand?
Simple enough, what was the last Pacquiao fight where you thought the guy he was fighting had a good chance of winning?
I am going with Cotto, at the time it was still a relative mystery how Pacquiao would fare against him. I expected Pacquiao to do better against Marquez than he did so although Marquez gave him hell it was the Cotto fight the last time I felt he was in real danger.
What do you think?

All Manny Pacquiao's fight were competitive. I can't remember any of his fight that his opponent doesn't stand a chance of beating him. It is only after they fought that his opponent got exposed. The only criticism that can be given is the fight happening at catchweight but to blame him solely for that is unfair. Contracts were meeting of the minds between two parties and if the other agreed on the weight, then the fight is made. Manny is a bloated Flyweight and it is understandable that he ask for some leverage on weight. Just imagine Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and Ricky Hatton, how big these fighters were. Who knows that Clottey will fight that way and to blame it to Pacquiao is absurd. Margarito out-weighing Manny by almost 20# and because he beat him that bad, Margarito is a "bum". Ricky was undefeated at Light Welterweight. He lost to Floyd at Welterweight and not at his comfortable weight class. Cotto is a feared fighter, asked Floyd Mayweather Jr. now that he is fighting him and even before that he avoided him together with Marga. These were just a few and criticism and judgement came out after he made an easy work on them, they were all class "C" fighter with the exemption of Cotto of course, because Floyd is fighting him. That might also be the case when he fought Floyd Jr. There is a reason for all the weird behavior of Mayweather Jr.

Antonio Margarito. He was slightly past his best but he was so much bigger than Pacquiao. I remember seeing the photos of them at the weigh in and thinking that they looked about three weight classes apart. He was 5'11" compared with Pacquiao's 5'6 1/2" he had a 6" reach advantage and probably came into the ring weighing in at middleweight.
I thought Pacquiao could win but I also thought that Margarito could be too big, as he was a big light middleweight whereas Pacquiao could have probably still made lightweight at that stage of his career.

I second the Cotto choice. I actually put a big bet that Cotto would win, just because he was one of my favorite fighters and... he was a beast. After that bet I've never bet against Pac since. I thought he would have a hard time against Margarito because of the size difference, and Marquez because of the stylistic match up. But I knew he would've beat Clottey.

Oscar. I didn't really think Manny could beat the legend. I was very surprised but elated at the outcome. All the rest after that bout, I had Manny to win convincingly, except Margarito who had the biggest weight advantage at fight time.

Oscar de la Hoya...I really thought Oscar had a good chance as any to win...Maybe it would have been different if Oscar was younger or in his prime...but he lost..

marquez. i knew he was not washed up and he will always have manny's number. other than that, roach has made sure no opponent has been a threat to manny. they have either been exposed by someone else, (cotto, oscar, shane, margarito) beaten by mayweather, ( oscar, shane, marquez) or weight drained (cotto, oscar) or walking statues (clottey and margacheato)
