You need top notch pt scores for army infantry right?

Like say 270-300 I can barely do 30 PU and 40 SU, and prolly won't even pass my run it's really aggravating I try my best to increase my push ups and sit ups and my run but nothin is help so now I'm thinking why did I do this? I don't even make the minimums I don't know it's just pissin me off

Update:

@John U. But I'm jealous that I see other recruits max they're full pt when we're only doing the 1-1-1 I mean it's ridiculous and my recruiters is always on my *** that I need to improve because "most recruits are already maxing their pt test when they get there" and on top of that I got my family that want me to back out knowing that I have 11 days til ship out and they know I don't back down from nothing cause I'm not a punk but now I feel like a punk cause I can't make the minimums now an if I don't make the minimums I don't get promoted before I go!!!

Don't mean to yell…

Dude how many times are we going to go over this? You are doing what you need to get in. That's all you need to worry about. By the time you hit basic and seven weeks later, you will be passing the PT test just fine. Stop killing yourself and stop worrying. The day you fall off that bus those Drill Sergeants are in the mindset that no one, including you, cannot run farther than your front door to give the cash to the pizza guy without falling over dead. They will "train you up" from crawl, walk, run phases of building you up to the standards so for right now stop killing yourself before you "Injure" yourself then you'll be on here asking how you can get over a MEPS Dq on the day you were supposed to ship.

    Pt Scores Army

No, it rather is not genuine. They get quite the comparable quantity of educating. the version is they concentration on countless issues. The Marines are amphibious with the help of nature, at the same time as the army isn't. they're distinctive. the army does, although if have it rather is Airborne instruments such by using fact the 82nd and the 173rd. So easily, in case you desire to enlist as infantry, then %. what you may extremely do. Airborne? the army. Water? Marine Corps.

In my 23 years in the Army I have spent time in 4 Infantry Battalions in 4 Divisions...2nd ID, 25th ID, 82nd ABN and 10th MTN. In all of those you were on remedial PT unless you scored 240 or above on the APFT.

In addition you wind up in the 18th Airborne Corps (82nd, 101st, 10th) you will be required to complete a 12 mile road march in under 3 hours or less every 6 months, a 25 miler every year in under 7 hours and a 4 mile run, in formation, in under 40 minutes every quarter.

BCT/OSUT is the absolute easiest thing you will ever do in the Army as Infantry....

I barley passed the PT test when I joined now I have a 287 and constantly get better at PT the longer I stay in don't worry about it they will get you in shape or you won't pass basic training which does not mean you go home it means you will get sent back 2 weeks and try again and again until you pass

    Keep with it.

You do not need 270+ to be infantry. You merely need a 180+ to pass basic training. You also need that score to pass through "man school" (Infantry school at Ft. Benning) - if you're doing OSUT at Benning you'll definitely get in shape as your instructors all have a RANGER tab. They will work you out - but it's easier if you go in decent shape. Aim for 200+ as a minimum.

No you do not .need top notch scores to enlist. To join and go to basic you just have to at least be able to do SOMETHING and show effort. I have the numbers memorized for gorls but not for guys, but I know it is WAYY less than 60 percent. You dont even need 60 percent to pass basic, only 50 percent. So dont worry, you CAN enlist.

If you are interested in the army I appreciate ot if you could email me I have a real quick question. My email is agilbody93@yahoo.com
