what is a must do or see at Disney world?

I'm taking my children 4, 6, & 8 to all four parks to Disney world, we are staying at the Disney pop century? Can you see everything in one day at each park?

Update:

I'm going to stay for 4 days, a day for each park.

I have to disagree with everyone else and say yes you can see everything in one day at each park as i have managed to do it every time ive been. Clearly you may not be able to rush as much as i do with 3 children in tow but it is possible, especially if its not busy.

Things to see, ok main one for the kids is the characters ;O they have to meet their childhood favourites, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Princesses etc. Ok so look for character spots on the maps or ask a cast member for help on where and when certain characters are going to be. In the maps they often have times and places for the most famous characters.

In Magic Kingdom, things for the kids to see are: Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin (laser shooting ride), Monsters inc laugh floor (comedy show featuring stars of monsters inc, your kids may even get to talk to mike wazowski and be on the tv screen), Dumbo the flying elephant, Mickeys philharmagic (a 3d show featuring all of your favourite disney characters), snow whites scary adventures (dont let the word scary put you off although it is a dark ride kids love it,) winnie the pooh ride (a must for winnie the pooh lovers), peter pans flight (always seems to have the biggest queues so a fast pass for this is a good idea), its a small world (singing dolls around the world), haunted mansion (more friendly than scary but your 4 year old may be scared), pirates of the caribbean (based on the movies), jungle cruise (cruise around a jungle with animatronic animals), magic carpets of aladdin (like dumbo), country bear jamboree (animatronic bears put on a musical show.) There are more rides that are larger but those are the ones that fit all 3 of your childrens ages.

Epcot: Spaceship earth (a slow ride through the history of communication, more fun than it sounds), the seas with nemo and friends (ride a shell through all of the characters from the movie), soarin' (feel like your flying high above california - simulator), living with the land (ride through epcots greenhouses see how they grow food), journey into imagination (cute ride with a purple dragon teaching you about the five senses), gran fiesta tour (featuring the three caballeros a boat ride through mexico trying to find donald duck), maelstrom (viking boat ride in norway may be scary for your 4 year old), universe of energy (45 minute cinema and ride experience featuring dinosaurs.) Heres a tip for epcot, look for a building names club cool, inside there is a lot of coca cola products, but you will notice a free drinks machine with little cups (as many free drinks as you like, saves a lot of money on drinks, they are coca cola products from all over the world, i recommend the costa rican fanta.)

Hollywood studios: Great movie ride (slow ride through some of the most famous movies of all time), Beauty and the beast live on stage, Muppets 4d (4d cinema experience featuring the muppets), star tours (simulator based on star wars), backlot tour (tram ride around movie props), honey i shrunk the kids playground (amazing playground made to look like kids have shrunk into a back garden), Toy story midway mania (3d shooting ride with all your favourite toy story characters), Voyage of the Little Mermaid show (glow in the dark show with real people and puppets), Playhouse Disney Live on Stage (each day is a different show...i think, i know theres handy manny, winnie the pooh, mickey mouse clubhouse and little einsteins.)

Animal Kingdom: Triceratop Spin (like dumbo with dinosaurs), Kilimajaro safaris (sarari ride in a jeep through lots of real wild animals. Also get the wildlife express train to another part of the park where the kids can visit a petting zoo. If your kids like finding nemo, definitely watch the finding nemo musical.

I hope this helps you and hope you have a fabulous holiday!

There is no way to see everything in one day at each park. You would need multiple days for each park. If you have limited time, I recommend viewing attractions and maps at disneyworld.com and decide ahead of time the things you want on your "must do" list. Everyone is different when it comes to favorites and must-dos. Because you have younger children, these are the must-dos I suggest:

Magic Kingdom: Mickey's PhilharMagic, It's a Small World, Pirate's of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear, and maybe Haunted Mansion (Haunted Mansion is harmless, but it scared both me and my little sister when we were around age 4)

Epcot: Spaceship Earth, Ellen's Energy Adventure, IllumiNations fireworks

Hollywood Studios: Fantasmic! (Do not miss this show! It is the best!), Toy Story Mania, Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tour, Lights! Motors! Action!

Animal Kingdom: Kilimanjaro Safari, It's Tough to Be a Bug

"Can you see everything in one day at each park?"

NO, and really if you ask my opinion, there are a LOT of other things to do with the time & $ rather than taking you children to the temple of consumption ( consumerism is NOT sustainable )

Take them to see a wild life preserve, a state or national park, whatever...
