Why does the Bible change?
I'll try to put this in the nicest way possible so I won't offend Christians :)
MY QUESTION IS:
Why does the Bible change? and since the Bible changes into words written by humans, why do people study the new bible and ignore the original Bible written by God? I googled this question and read that the Bible was inspired by God but written by humans, is that true?
ALSO,
I read this at another yahoo answer question similar to this one and I just wanted to ask if it was true or not, so here it is:
Islam was there since before the beginning of time and Jesus says in the bible that when he comes back, he will reject the Christians that say he is Lord, or even say he is the begotton son of God.. And he says that the good Muslims will enter heaven. If you don't believe me go ahead and open up your bibles and look up the passage Matthew 7:21-23 ( do the will of God is the literal meaning of Islam, and those who do it are Muslims in the Arabic language) there is a whole lot more where that came from, this is just the tip of an enormous iceberg.
Thank you :) Please don't be offended by anything :) I'm just trying to get answers to questions I've always wondered about :)

Please read and compare twenty versions, and you will see no significant difference or change..........
Enter something like James 1
read, and compare.

There are different versions of the Bible only because they have been translated from the original Greek versions. As you see, there may be different translations of a word due to synonyms, contexts and such.
We use the new Bible because it's in English. The original Bible is written in some old languages. It's much easier to understand English, the universal language.
Yes, the Bible was written by humans BUT inspired by God. Humans were the medium through which God made known His message. If you find that hard to understand, just imagine God telling the authors what to write. Is your Bible written by some magical fairy?
The meaning of Matthew 7:21-23 is that those who only SAY they love the Lord cannot enter heaven. But those who DO love the Lord will. Just something about true and false disciples of Christ. I do not know your Arabic language hypothesis.
BTW, I'm not offended. Just disappointed in your lack of faith.

"since the Bible changes into words written by humans"
- as opposed to what? Do you think that god "zapped" a book down to earth mormon style? God inspired means that the holy spirit was supposedly telling these people what to write down.
"Islam was there since before the beginning of time "
- This is unbelievably false.
"Jesus says in the bible that when he comes back, he will reject the Christians "
- Read the rest of the passage. He's referring to the people that call themselves christians but show no fruit of the spirit. Those are the false christians in the passage.
"he says that the good Muslims will enter heaven"
- No. Muslims don't believe jesus to be anything other than a prophet. Not the god incarnate and not someone who's supposed to return.
"do the will of God is the literal meaning of Islam"
- No. way to take a few words of the bible and translate it incorrectly. I hate it when us atheists do this too.

How can we be sure the Bible has not been changed?
“In the number of ancient MSS. [manuscripts] attesting a writing, and in the number of years that had elapsed between the original and the attesting MSS., the Bible enjoys a decided advantage over classical writings [those of Homer, Plato, and others]. . . . Altogether classical MSS. are but a handful compared with Biblical. No ancient book is so well attested as the Bible.”—The Bible From the Beginning (New York, 1929), P. Marion Simms, pp. 74, 76.
A report published in 1971 shows that there are possibly 6,000 handwritten copies containing all or part of the Hebrew Scriptures; the oldest dates back to the third century B.C.E. Of the Christian Greek Scriptures, there are some 5,000 in Greek, the oldest dating back to the beginning of the second century C.E. There are also many copies of early translations into other languages.
In the introduction to his seven volumes on The Chester Beatty Biblical Papyri, Sir Frederic Kenyon wrote: “The first and most important conclusion derived from the examination of them [the papyri] is the satisfactory one that they confirm the essential soundness of the existing texts. No striking or fundamental variation is shown either in the Old or the New Testament. There are no important omissions or additions of passages, and no variations which affect vital facts or doctrines. The variations of text affect minor matters, such as the order of words or the precise words used . . . But their essential importance is their confirmation, by evidence of an earlier date than was hitherto available, of the integrity of our existing texts.”—(London, 1933), p. 15.
It is true that some translations of the Bible adhere more closely to what is in the original languages than others do. Modern paraphrase Bibles have taken liberties that at times alter the original meaning. Some translators have allowed personal beliefs to color their renderings. But these weaknesses can be identified by comparison of a variety of translations.

"I googled this question and read that the Bible was inspired by God but written by humans, is that true?"
Well the Bible certainly didn't drop down out of heaven. How else do you think that ink found its way onto papyrus, if not by the hands of men?
There is no manuscript evidence to suggest that the Bible has been extensively edited since then, and there is quite a bit to suggest that it hasn't.
QUOTE: "Islam was there since before the beginning of time and Jesus says in the bible that when he comes back, he will reject the Christians that say he is Lord,"
The things which Muslims come out with beggar belief sometimes. It doesn't take a very extensive reading of the Bible to know that they talk bullshit.

The original was written by men but inspired by God. Obviously this is going to take faith to believe.. but that's the point. Newer bibles have simply been translated from the oldest manuscript. If u compare them they are still the same. Now we could get into the crazy translations where ppl purposely change and mistranslates for their own reasons. Christians do not accept those translations as Gods word. As far as Mohammad- the old testament is littered with the jews. Mohammad was not a jewelry and they are not his chosen ppl. Mohammad had sexual relations with a girl of nine.. that don't sound perfect to me.... either way Mohamed died and certainly didn't raise again... so what's the point in him being Gods prophet? To tell u what to do? K where does that get u? No one can keep the law in perfection. If islam believes in Moses the look at ur self by the ten commandments... lie, stealing, murder, lust... all sin.... so what can Mohammad do for u when he couldn't even save himself. What will he say for you when u die and u have broken the commandments.. he didn't wash ir sins away.... jesus did... how can islam believe jesus was a great prophet? Either he was lieing or telling the truth... crazy or Gods son.... I say Gods son.

Sometimes, things are discovered that put the church's ability to manipulate you into jeopardy. A recent case of this has to do with the NIV Bible. Chrsitians have only recently discovered that Barabbas (the one who was released so that Jesus could be crucified) is actually the Hebrew/Aramaic term Bar Abba(s). Bar means son of. There is no word that conveys a proper translation of the word Abba. It is a term of endearment - not the reverential term that christians ascribe to the father of jesus. One could say "loving father" but that's not quite right. One could also say "sugar daddy", which is much closer.
So, if on the balcony scene, Bar Abba(s) was released, that means that the son of the loving father (Jesus) did not die on the cross, and that he was telling the truth when he said that if you do what he said to do you could not be harmed. So the one that christians call the christ did not die on the cross.
If Christ didn't die for your sins, and if there is no hell (because Jesus said that even the most henious (spiritually bankrupt) are part of the same heaven - and always will be - then how can church leaders get you to support it with your money using fear? Can't. Thus, the NIV changed the name of Jesus to Jesus Barabbas and had a second Barabbas on the balcony with him.
This is only ONE example of many ways that christianity is distorting the teachings of Jesus and calling on all christians to NOT do as Jesus said, but to do as Paul said instead.
It's a money/power thing. It's about control.

There are many different versions of the bible all of them contain self contradictory errors.
This is because they were written from myths that had been passed on by word of mouth for a long time before being written down.
Some stories like Noah's flood obviously never happened as described, but there probably were numerous local floods following the last ice age as sea levels started to rise, so in this case numerous disparate folk memories of different events have become conflated into a single event by the myth makers.
The accounts of Christ in the new testament were written some forty years after the supposed events by people who had never seen him, again based on word of mouth stories. Then of course you have numerous translation errors - such as interpreting 'young woman' as 'virgin'.
Different translations will be written in the language of the time they are published and also influenced by the politics of the time.

okay 1st off i will say i did not get offended so no worrie there....NOW yes the bible was written by humans ,the ones in which god could trust he holy spirit lead them in what to write and doll i just got to say this b4 i go any where else, the bible never changes ,GOD never changes its man and humans that change.there are crazy versons ppl have written and have added and taken away from what god wanted in it and they will answer for that. not for us to judge them.
the passage you gave matthew 7:21-23 1st you have to understand and know the word before you go saying what it means, not trying to sound mean but if you were telling someone this and eaither of you knew the truth it could cause you both spiritual trouble dont know everything but i know somethings....but what this passage means 'JESUS IS SAYING NOT EVERYBODY THAT SAYS HE IS LORD IS GOING TO HEAVEN ,MEANING NOT EVERYONE THAT PROCLAIMS TO BE BORN AGAIN IS BORN AGAIN NOW AS YOU READ DOWN HE SAYS ONLY THE ONES DOING THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHICH MEANS THE TRUE CHRISTIANS"BORN AGAIN" THEN JESUS GOES ON DOWN TO EXPLAIN THAT PEOPLE WILL SAY TO HIM THEY DONE THIS AND THAT FOR HIM THESE ARE THE ONES THAT PROCLAIMED TO BE BORN AGAIN BUT WERE NOT AND STILL DOING AND INTERTIANING EVIL. I REALLY HOPE THIS HELPS

Okay, I will try to answer your questions once section at a time. As far as the Bible is concerned, you are correct. The Bible is inspired by God and is written by man. 2 Peter 1:21 says. . .For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit. . . It's like a businessman using a secretary to write a letter for him. When that letter is delivered and the person reads it, he reads it as coming from the business man, not the secretary. Its' the same way with the Bible. God used man to write his thoughts not their own. It was written by over 40 different men at different times and the Bible is harmonious through out. That can only be by God's direction.
Now, for the second half, That scripture has nothing to do with Muslims. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even make sense. If Jesus is not Lord, how can he come back? It is not enough for us to say we believe in Christ and then do what we think is right. It is absolutely necessary that we find out what God’s will is on the matter. Jesus showed this in his Sermon on the Mount when he said: “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.”—Matthew 7:21.
We could even be doing what we believe to be “good deeds,” and be doing these in the name of rist. Yet all of these would be of no value if we failed to do God’s will. We would be in the position of the ones Christ mentions: “Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.” (Matthew 7:22, 23) Yes, we can be doing things that we think are good—and for which other humans may thank us and even praise us—but if we fail to do what God says is right we will be regarded by Jesus Christ as “workers of lawlessness.”
Since many religions today are not doing God’s will, we cannot simply assume that the teachings of the religious organization we are associated with are in agreement with God’s Word. The mere fact that the Bible is used by a religion does not of itself prove that all the things it teaches and practices are in the Bible. It is important that we ourselves examine whether they are or not. Persons in the city of Beroea were commended because, after the Christian apostle Paul preached to them, they checked the Scriptures to make sure that the things he was telling them were true. (Acts 17:10, 11) The religion that is approved by God must agree in every way with the Bible; it will not accept certain parts of the Bible and reject other parts.—2 Timothy 3:16.
