My keyboard keys are mixed up. Please help me figure it out?

When I press the [shift + 2] key, I should get the @ sign, but instead, I get this: "

When I press the [shift + "] key, I should get the " symbol, but instead, I get this: @

When I press the [shift + 3] key, I should get the hash/pound sign, but instead I get this: £

At first I thought it was the keyboard. I have had this keyboard for 7 years, so I thought maybe that was the reason. I bought a new keyboard and I get the same thing. So clearly it's NOT the keyboard but some kind of change in keyboard language in the cpu.

Can you help me figure out how to change my keys to be correct?

Go to control panel/regional settings/keyboard tab and make sure you have the correct language for your keyboard,it sounds like you have UK options
