  • What is the punishment for a Muslim man to have an unmarried Muslim girl as a girlfriend,?

I am married, and I have a girlfriend that I like spending time with. I don't want to marry her. We spend time together, going out to dinner and driving around. We text and we have pet names, but no intercourse. I am 56 and she is 30. She makes me feel young. Is there a specific punishment for what I am doing? I recently returned to my prayers (all of them), but I can't let this girl go. I need to know the punishment.

  • Do you think impending sickness and/or death has a smell?

Before my mother died, her house had an unusual smell. Her house smelled old and sick and like it wasn't clean. I thought it was because she had been sick for a while and didn't have the energy to deep clean.

IMy house is very clean, in fact I have a housekeeper that cleans my house every day with name brand cleaning products.

Last week when I walked in my front door, I smelled the same smell as when my mother was dying. It's creeping me out. Do you think I'm missing something in my cleaning or do any of you think this is a strange occurance.

I'd like your opinion. And again, I'm freaking out, please don't send any sarcastic answers.

  • What kind of test should I ask for if I suspect esophageal cancer?

I am 52. I had a hialtal hernia as a child, but haven't had any symptoms since i was 18. For the past 3 - 4 years, I've had difficulty swallowing. It feels like it is very difficult to get the food down. Recently, over the past year and a half, I am really having difficulty moving the food into my stomach. Many times, it simply won't go down, it will only go up and out. Even more recently, it does the same for liquids. It's the worst when I eat rice. In the past few weeks, it's just about everything I eat. I thought it was my posture or eating too fast.

Now everyone is telling me that I am losing weight, even though I am NOT on a diet, if I am able to get the food down properly, I get the hiccups for about 5 minutes after the last swallow. It's getting really annoying, so I looked up the symptoms. What I found mostly was EC.

SO...my problem is that I am working overseas as an English teacher and medical diagnosing is very weak here. So I pretty much need to be armed with as much information as I can and go to a lab and ORDER the right tests.

Can someone please help me know what tests to ask for. Whether I have dysphagia, or EC, or I am just getting old and need to eat softer foods. Should I see an internist or an ENT?

I wasn't scared before, but now I'm getting a little worried. Lots of deaths of cancer in my family, but never Esophageal Cancer, mostly skin, breast and lung.

Help me figure this out, please.

  • I have all the risk factors of heart disease...now what?

I am a 50 year old woman, I am overweight about 50 pounds, I now have diabetes because ALL my overweight is in my belly area, my blood pressure is 180/86, my cholesterol is within the range, my triglycerides are in the normal range.

Over the past few days I've noticed some very weird symptoms and so I looked them up on line:

upper back/lower neck pain, bouts of nausea, tiredness, hiccups for no reason, and I get heartburn off and on for no reason, I am under a lot of pressure and stress with deadlines at work, AND my daughter is getting married.

So I looked it up and all the signs point to heart disease.

Went to the doctor and he said change your lifestyle...stop the stress (Can't do that), lose weight (that takes time), lower your blood sugar (no matter what I do, the stress keeps the sugar level up), get rest (WHEN???), stop smoking ( I have one cigarette every day after dinner). He was really no help. He didn't give me any real ways to heal myself.

I need some real advice on how to reverse this path I'm on. Where can I get started? What have YOU been through and what did YOU do.

Or at least, Yahoo Friends, send me in the right direction for good, sound help.

  • I think I'm in menopause. I am just irritated and frustrated all the time. Need some help.?

I am so irritated all the time. I don't know if I'm in menopause because I had a partial hysterectomy at 30 years old. I still have my ovaries, but after I gave birth to my son I had postpartum bleeding for 2 years. My doctor said that my body still thought it was 6 months pregnant. We spent 1 year trying to solve the problem, but I still had bleeding for about 300 days of that year, 2 hemorrhages and 5 DNCs because of the heavy bleeding. So they took out my uterus. I can't gauge if I am in menopause because I haven't had a period since 1994.

So here I am 50 years old and I feel like my cup is just plain ol' running over. Now I am the first to admit that my plate is full. My husband and I own several businesses and educational institutions. They require a lot of our presence. But we have been doing it for years. Why all of a sudden am I just so frustrated and fed up with 'stupidity'. I just can't seem to roll with the flow like I used to. I've always been proud to be a ' the shipment is late? Well? What's plan B'. Now I am a "WHAT!// WHO DIDN"T ORDER IT RIGHT??? WHERE'S THE MANAGER? HOW MANY TIMES DID I TELL YOU TO PLACE THAT ORDER IN PLENTY OF TIME???"

I'm turning into crazy woman. My staff scatter when I come near. I'm normally calm and resourceful, but now if anything goes NOT according to plan I get all frustrated and irritated. If someone tried to cut in front of me in line, I used to politely tell them that I was there first. Now I give the person a dirty look, tap them on the shoulder firmly and tell them in no uncertain terms that they are rude and the should stay in line...God forbid the clerk help them before me. I wont rest until I've talked to the manager. Then I instantly feel guilty. So now I'm irritated, frustrated, AND remorseful. Then, I cry. I feel like I'm a mess.

But the worst part of it all is that I feel fed up. I want to leave my husband, because he just annoys me all the time. We've been married 30 years and he never annoyed me before. Now, I just want to move into my own apartment. I don't care.

Also I don't trust any of my employees to do their job anymore. I am always on their backs, politely but always in a "Nevermind! I'll do it myself. No one can do this right but me!" mode.

Help me! Am I going crazy or is it menopause...if it is menopause, will it ever stop?

  • I have 4 gold fish sitting at the bottom of the tank but are not dead.?

I have a 55 gallon aquarium with 6 gold fish, 4 of some other type of aquarium fish that are gray in color and 2 sucker fish (that clean the glass). I've had all these fish for around 8 - 9 months.

Yesterday they were all doing fine and swimming around like normal, then at about 9pm I walked by the tank and saw 4 of the fish on the bottom of the tank side by side as if they went there on purpose. They were sitting right side up and breathing as if just taking a break.

The four gray aquarium fish were hovering above them as if guarding them. The 4 fish were swimming like a school and moving in sync with each other. The tank is pretty big and they just stayed nearby these 'sitting fish'. This morning when I woke up I checked on them and 2 of them are swimming around normally. The other two still sitting on the bottom but in a different location. The gray fish swimming around normally. I passed by them again a few hours later and the 1st two back on the bottom and the other two swimming around. The gray fish acting normal. Just now (4 hours later) all four gold fish back sitting on the bottom, but together and behind a big rock. I have 2 other gold fish that are not acting this way.

Any ideas why they are acting this way?

  • I forgot my husband's niece had her appendix out in 2005. Is that normal?

I just turned 50 years old last month. I'm relatively active. I work, but mostly sit behind a desk or at a computer. I am an instructional designer, and I am also the academic coordinator for an English Language Center. I use my brain all day. I work 10 hours+ per day and most of my work is either creative or making decisions. I thought I had good brain function.

I'm good at remembering dates, when bills are due, schedules, events with friends, directions, and if I write down any information, I will never forget it.

Last week at Thanksgiving, all the "girls" were in the kitchen after dinner just chatting. My husband's niece (a regular at our house since she was little ), who is 24 years old now was talking about her appendix surgery. I was shocked. "You had your appendix out?! When?"

Her surgery was in 2005, she told me and I went to the hospital to see her.

I couldn't believe my ears. I have ABSOLUTELY NO RECOLLECTION of her having surgery and/or visiting her. My daughter told me who was there when I went. When my daughter named a certain person, I had a foggy memory of her face and I know that I would only have seen her in a situation like that. But I have no memory of our niece's surgery or me visiting her.

Is this a sign? Is it early onstage something? Is this just a normal age related memory loss? I was freaking out silently that whole night and all day today. I'm trying to remember, and I can't seem to recall or remember this event AT ALL.

Help me figure out what it means or where I can start researching. I am NOT going to the doctor unless I have some background information.

  • What is the most common term for grandmother and grandfather in the UK?

I'm teaching some children English as a Second Language and there has been some discussion about terms for grandparents.

I have a friend from UK and he says that the most common "teaching" informal term for grandfather is "granddad" and the most common term for grandmother is "grandma".

Please weigh in on this as I am publishing a lesson for 'family' vocabulary words and I need your input so I can change it if I need to.

  • I'm getting started in trading stocks...need advice.?

I'm new in buying and selling stocks. I have allocated $800 per month to invest in buying and selling stock. Right now I want to buy and sell. Later, after I've made some money, then I want to invest in dividend stocks.

What is the best advice you can give me. Use the whole $800 on one stock or should I take the $800 and buy different stocks.

I'm going with e-trade, so I don't need advice on that, I need advice on how to get started.

I've been looking around and doing some homework and so far I like AGU (Agrium). The problem is... I can't sit 24 hours a day and watch a ticker. I need some good advice on how to start, how to decide when to buy and when to sell. Does the news help, or should I read financial articles. Help me!

  • Should I see a lung doctor or a heart doctor? Help me decide.?

I'm going to visit a doctor next week because of some lengthy symptoms, but I don't know which kind of doctor to see..Please look at my symptoms and give your advice... Lung doctor or heart doctor.

I am 49 years old iwth diabetes. I am about 50 pounds overweight and I own a business that I am at for about 10 hours a day. i am also a project manager on 2 outside education projects, so i am in a constant mental movement, but my exercise is mostly related to walking between offices in my building.

    Here are my symptoms:

    1. dry cough that has lasted for about 4 months

    2. for the past 2 months I run out of energy quickly and by the end of the week, I'm "spent"

    3. A tearing pain in the upper chest. It feels like someone has both hands inside my chest and pulling my chest apart in both directions. The pain sometimes radiates into my back, but mostly on either side of the breast bone.

    4. frequent sharp pains in the middle of my chest, with radiating pain that runs about halfway to my underarm. The pain doesn't reach my armpit or my shoulder, just in that direction.

    5. getting the hiccups alot lately

    6. sometimes having difficulty getting my food to go down my esophogus properly. It feels like the food gets "stuck" and the the muscles can't move the food down into my stomach. Water or drink will not push it down. The only way to move it down my "food tube" is to either walk around or throw up. It's not painful, it just won't go down.

    7. i've been under some stress lately and I think it's causing unrestful sleep

8 My blood pressure averages around 170/85, which is actually very high for me. My usual bp is 110/70

    9. I have bouts of losing balance, nothing major, just maybe a double step or a brief bumping into a wall, desk, etc.

    10. In between the sharp chest pains, I have a heavy feeling right in the middle of my breast bone. It's a constant, dull pain, as if I've pushed on it for a long time and now feels a bit bruised, but it's inside my chest.

    11. any kind of smoke near me starts me in a coughing fit.

12: history - paternal grandmother and paternal aunt both died in their 40s from lung, breast, spine, brain cancer

    13. Both my parent smoked, so I've been a 2nd hand smoker since I was born.

    14. My husband smokes

    15. I smoke about 5 cigarettes a week (socially), but I haven't smoked in more than a month, it makes my chest feel tight and more painful

So here's my question...do you think it's my heart or my lungs? Which doctor should I see first and what are the tests that I should expect to have?

    Thanks for the guidance.

  • My keyboard keys are mixed up. Please help me figure it out?

When I press the [shift + 2] key, I should get the @ sign, but instead, I get this: "

When I press the [shift + "] key, I should get the " symbol, but instead, I get this: @

When I press the [shift + 3] key, I should get the hash/pound sign, but instead I get this: £

At first I thought it was the keyboard. I have had this keyboard for 7 years, so I thought maybe that was the reason. I bought a new keyboard and I get the same thing. So clearly it's NOT the keyboard but some kind of change in keyboard language in the cpu.

Can you help me figure out how to change my keys to be correct?

  • What to do about brother in law's seemingly paranoia personality disorder?

I have a brother in law that we believe is suffering from Paranoia Personality Disorder.

First...I am NOT a medical professional and I do not CLAIM to know what is wrong with him. I have searched the internet about his symptoms and came to my own conclusion, so please do not scold me for making this claim. I want help in how to get him to a professional for evaluation. Let me give you the details:

He is 53 years old and has had diabetes for the past 10 years, although he doesn't believe he has it. When he goes to the doctor for blood tests, he claims that the labs are falsifying his records to support the pharmaceutical company that give them commissions (he goes to a hospital for the tests).

He walks everyday about 5 miles.

He has high blood pressure, but we believe that this is because he somehow feels that he needs to take about 14 - 16 Tylenol Cold Medicine tablets each day. He is married and has 4 children, ranging from 4 years old to 14 years old. He doesn't work in a traditional manner, his income comes from the many rental properties he owns.

For the past 4 - 5 years he has slowly withdrawn himself from nearly all social situations and is currently paranoid that his brothers are somehow going to "steal" his inheritance. At first, we thought is was just overly greedy, but for the past year he is increasingly and increasingly throwing accusations about everyone. He was nearly arrested because the store asked him to check in his bag before going into the store and he thought they were trying to accuse him of stealing. He refused and it was a 2 day ordeal involving the whole family with the manager of the store. The manager apologized and apologized for any misunderstanding and asked if there was anything that he could do to make the situation right. My husband had bought a new TV at the same store 3 days prior and the brother in law accused us of "taking" the TV from his situation and demanded that we give him the TV. We had to show him the reciept that the 2 instances were not related. He still doesn't believe that we bought the TV.

Yesterday he threw his wife out and her clothes on the street accusing her of infidelity, although they are together practically 24 hours a day. My sister in law hardly ever leaves the house, only to visit her parents. When he takes his son with him on errands, he frisks and pats down his 14 year old son to make sure he hasn't any weapons because he thinks people are going to kill him for his property and money. He carries knives in his pockets and in the trunk of his car, claiming that he thinks people are out "to get him".

    The list is endless.

Now my problem...he will NEVER agree to go to a mental health physician for an evaluation. He's impossible to talk to and when you try to open the subject, he becomes violent. We are now getting concerned about his family and kids. Yesterday, he kept pointing the remote at the refrigerator trying to change the channel on the TV and accused the family of sabotaging the TV so he can't watch what he wants.

How do we get him evaluated and get him help? One person suggested that we invite a doctor to our home and invite the brother in law over for dinner and let the doctor evaluate him in an unthreatening manner. My husband is the only one left in the extended family that he "semi" trusts. He believes that all of his brothers, wife and sister in laws are out to make him look crazy and/or "get rid of him" for inheritance property. Truthfully, he doesn't have any more inheritance than anyone else in the family. His behavior is really troubling and we are worried about him driving and his family because of the rage and paranoia fits he goes through daily.

Please help us figure out a way to get him evaluated and ultimately treated.

My surname is Murphy, a very common name. Is there a web site where I can register my full name and my parent's names, in case others in the family tree are doing the same?

Can you recommend one site over another to help you, what about genealogists?

  • Do women get headaches when they start menopause?

I'm 49 and had a partial hysterectomy about 25 years ago, so I don't "physically" know if I"m entering menopause. But recently I've been having a lot of headaches. 2 and 3 times a day. Sometimes they last for an hour, sometimes they last over 4 hours. Sometimes they come in cycles (every 3 - 4 minutes with throbbing at the temples), sometimes my head hurts so bad it makes me want to vomit.

My co worker says I might be in menopause...could that be?

    Any similar experiences?

  • Need advice on how to quit diet soft drinks.?

Okay... I admit it. My name is K and I'm a diet soft drink addict. I recently read an article about 7 things that can cause a stroke. I'm do all 7!!!! I eat processed meats, I buy canned soup, I work in an office and sit for 8 hours a day (mostly), and I can drink 1 - 2 "big gulps" per day with no problem. And because of this crappy "processed" lifestyle, Over the years I have slowly gained about 50 pounds and am (no doubt) very overweight...and yes -- now I have diabetes. Okay, I got my slap in the face. Please don't judge me...I did it (along with my husband of 27 years), I shouldn't have, but here I am.

My question... this week I cut out EVERYTHING that raises the increase of CAD and stroke. That includes diet soft drinks. Well I woke up yesterday morning (after about 36 hours of no diet drink) with a crashing headache. I've never had a migraine, but I think this was one or close to it. My head hurt so bad I couldn't move. I couldn't open my eyes for any length of time, I got sick, dizzy, nauseated. I couldn't eat, but was throwing up. Nothing in my stomach to regurgitate except digestive juices (awful). i was like this until the evening when I talked to my friend and she said that I was probably having caffeine withdrawals. Really? And that severe? My husband brought me a diet drink and headache reliever. About 30 minutes later...I was fine. Like I had never been sick. So I think it may be exactly what she said, caffeine withdrawal.

Is this possible to have caffeine withdrawal THAT bad that it practically incapacitated me? What are my options? How do I quit diet pepsi/coke without this problem?
