math whizzes- please verify or correct?

Colorado restaurant sells a small bowl of soup for $4.25 and a medium bowl for $5.25, $2.00 extra for protein on either size. If their making 300% markup based on cost of their food, what is the cost for a small size soup with protein? Round to the nearest cent.

So Selling price is 4.25+2.00=$6.25 (selling price)

Selling price = Cost + Dollar markup (300%)

6.25 = Cost + (3.00)Cost

6.25 = 4Cost

6.25/4 (to isolate the Cost)

1.5625 = cost

$1.56 = cost
