No matter what anyone says there is no such thing as too young to tell the sex of a budgie. If I can sex my baby budgies at age 3 days in the nestbox and if people can be educated to look for other signs of sexing a budgie a bit older then there is no such thing as too young to tell.

If they are babies then a baby female will have a cere thats quite white in appearance and often white with blue.

Baby males will have a bright pink to pinky purple cere.

*** Like I said a female will have a whitish cere and if your yellow one has a pink cere and the bird is all yellow its a male.

the cere colors can change as they mature. Do they still have bars on their forehead? Babies usually have lines that go down the there cere where as adults have a solid color forehead. If they still have bars it may be early to tell, if they don't they're probably old enough. If it's a green or blue parakeet, males usually have blue ceres and females have brown. Yellow or white males can have a pink cere and females still have brown. I've also heard whitish blue is female. Grooming and feeding is social behavior.
