Can I return an unopened video game bought from another store to Walmart?

I just bought NBA 2K12 from Walmart from $60 and immediately opened it. Right after, someone told that Game Stop are selling NBA 2K12 for $40.

I already went back to Walmart and spoke to the supervisor and she told me that it was too late for me to match their price with the Walmart Ad Match guarantee.

So can I buy NBA 2K12 from Game Stop or Best Buy for $40 and then return that unopened game to Walmart for a money refund? (I have the receipt).

Yes u can!!! Just bring back your unopened game that you just bought for $40, and your receipt saying you paid $60 at Walmart and they will refund you the $60! There's no way for them to tell that you bought that one at GameStop. They UPC codes are the same.

Yes, you can return it. I've done it before once around Christmas when I bought a friend a game at Walmart and found it cheaper elsewhere.

Of course you can. It is a little unethical but so is Walmart! The bar codes on the back of the package are the same for both retailer. Just make sure you get a sealed copy from gamestop since they sell open display box copies when it's the last copy.

I don't think your suppossed to don't they scan the bar codes on the back that might tell them something of course you could just give it a try if it doesn't work take the game back to Gamestop for a refund from there that way your not out anymore money and you might save money either probbably can't hurt
