Liberals: Are you concerned with the increasing power of to the TSA?

In TN, the TSA is already conducting random searches of vehicles on highways, subways, etc and it is very likely that operations like this will be coming to virtually every state here soon.

In a time where police abuses seem to be a big concern for the left, do you really want to increase the power of a supposedly civilian agency like the TSA and allow them randomly search vehicles at their discretion (obviously ignoring the Constitution)?

Update 2:

@ Chewy Ivan 2 – That is exactly my point. They started at the Airports, now they are coming to our Highways. At what point will it be too much? When they are “randomly” searching our homes?

Update 3:

@ Death to Rational Discourse – Nothing paranoid about being fearful of an organization, which answers only to the President’s administration, that apparently can violate the Constitution on numerous levels, to which even federal courts apparently have no jurisdiction.

U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson ruled that her federal judgeship lacks jurisdiction to decide matters regarding the Department of Homeland Security, which the TSA falls under. When asked who has jurisdiction, there was no response.

Update 4:

@ Timothy – Famous last words.

Update 5:

BTW – Anybody find it interesting that the same Judge, Susan Richard Nelson, that said her federal court lacked jurisdiction, was appointed to her position by none other than President Obama?

Not really. I don't travel. I don't think the TSA should do so much searching and invasion of privacy, but it doesn't concern me personally because I'm not in a position where I come under TSA scrutiny often.

Edit: I'm just being honest. I don't agree with the TSA's overreach, but since it hasn't reached me yet, I'm not that concerned.

I'm not a fan of the TSA at all. I'm a Democrat, though.

If you want more ammunition against them, look into who makes the scanners - I think you will be disappointed and surprised.

They need to be shut down. it is all for show anyhow. You don't see them checking first class but how did the 9/11 hijackers fly?

I have nothing to hide. Feel free.

Edit: You're right, why should they be able to inconvenience your life for absolutely no reason. They need to mind their own business!
