Which DSLR Camera should I get?
I'm trying to decide between the Canon Rebel T2i ($649.99), Canon Rebel T3 ($479.99), Canon Rebel T3i ($749.99), Nikon D5100 ($799.99), and the Nikon D3100 ($579.99).
What I am having trouble deciding is, is it worth spending up to an extra $200 for a camera when a cheaper one will work just as good?
Also if I spend less on the camera then once I get use to it I may buy a different lens. So would it be better to buy a cheaper camera and get a better lens or get a more expensive camera?

T3i and D5100 compete are on top, but the T2i and T3i use the same sensor so if you go with the T2i you save $100 and get the same thing, just with a normal LCD screen and no swiveling.
Cheaper camera + better lens is always a great thing, and considering all DSLRs today are great you can't go wrong ;)

Unless you got a pressing need for something that the T3i or D5100 have you'll be fine with the cheaper one.
I really do NOT like the controls and the feel of the T3 so I'd go for the D3100. Both are very capable cameras.

Canon T3i is a good one to go with. The Canon Rebel T3i takes the consumer level dSLR a couple steps closer to the mid-level Canon 60D with the addition of the rotating rear LCD screen, remote flash firing, and in-camera processing features. The already highly competent, older Rebel T2i already shared many important features with the 60D (and even features of the semi-pro 7D) including the 18 MP sensor, 63-zone exposure metering system, high ISO performance, HD movie capabilities, and Digic 4 image processor.
