@media only screen and (max-device-width:480px;) {?

I used the above in the CSS for my homepage and it turned out alright for desktop versions (Firefox, Internet Explorer 8, Opera),and for Iphone, and Ipad. However, in Google Chrome and Safari (Desktop), the page showed the Iphone version. This is the site: http://kandaphati.webs.com/

    Not quite sure if i follow your problem but it sounds like your device is saying that the maximum pixel size it can handle is- 480p.The photo on your site shows it to be-530x395 pixels when i right click it to show the properties.

    if your TV set doesnt support 720p or 1080p HD and you play a movie it will have a black bar usually at the top and bottom of the screen instead of giving you a full screen.

    Usually when you upload a picture to somewhere like imageshack it gives you an option to chose a re-size and you can down or upsize it to suit where you are going to send it to.
