It it okay for me to take Zero Honors or aP Classes Junior year?

I got a 3.4 gpa freshman year and took no honors. In 10th grade I took Honors US History and barely got a B- in it. My 10th grade gpa was a 3.2. I HAVE to get a GPA of 3.5 by the end of Junior year unweighted or else I will not be able to qualify into getting into this honors program I want to do at Pace university. So I basically need a 3.8 gpa Junior year in order to average out a 3.5 gpa which means that i will get accepted into the honors program. So is it okay to take no honors or AP classes Junior year and try my best to get a 3.8 gpa??? or will it just look bad. If I take no honors or AP's junior year, then I plan to take 4 AP's Senior year.

I took more AP classes junior year (6) than senior year (4). The reason is because junior year is your make or break year. Senior year is when everything has been already set. You know which colleges you are likely to get accepted to, you hopefully have already taken your SATs, and you develop a mild or large (in my instance) case of senioritis. This is when you lack motivation to study or work at school. It happens to most everyone and this can really affect your studies. So, I would look to junior year and work my hardest during that year. Good luck!
