Can a 1500 watt sine wave inverter on two car batteries run an electric chain saw?

The folks at Duracell said the Duracell Powerpack 600 is not for yard equipment like hedge clippers and electric chainsaws. This is for laptops, cell phones light weight stuff.

I thought I could perhaps buy a 1500 watt sine wave inverter and a few car batteries and build my own power pack. Will it have enough power to run the electric chainsaw?

You coils use an inverter and batteries although 1500 w won't be enough and the drain on the car bettery is phenomenal . Cheap generator will be more practical

As you are using a van possibly the battery would be of the higher ampere/hour but to expect a battery to deliver a 100 amps continues the voltage would possibly drop to about half and is causing the inverter to shut down using another battery in parallel might enable the inverter to operate but that would only be for a short while as the ampere/hour rate would soon discharge the batteries by running the van engine might extend the discharge rate a little longer but as the alternator output is possible only 75 amp max it will still be a losing battle, your best option would be to get a portable power unit for the working voltage/wattage of the freezer

    12 x 2 = 24 volts.

Electric chain saw runs on 120 volts.

    You tell me.
