Are Arabs descendants of Ishmael?

Arabs are descendants of Esau, Ishmael, and of the 12 sons of Abraham by Keturah. This accounts for much of the divisions and squabbles among the Arabs, but they still ALL seem to be against Israel.There is no better records of this than the Bible and Jewish Talmud. is that historians / anthropologists use ancient documents which come from the culture as a large part of studying that culture.

The Hebrew Bible is the equivalent Jewish collection of documents.

Now - a responsible historian would have to assume that Ishmael is most likey a symbolic conglomerate person who actualy represents an initiating family group.

for example - Genesis says at one point that Abraham had 300 warriors with him,

Genealogy is a very important science to Arab. They are tribal people and it is like or death for them to know your genealogy. They based all their allies and support and care based on the blood relationship.

Yes. There are also descendents of Esau called Edomites which probably make up a lot of the Palestinians. Persians ( now called Iran) are Babylonians. They are similar but not all are descendents of Ishmael. Most are Muslim.
