Is Obama scripting his Presidency after "The American President"?

Micheal Douglas played an unber-Lib President Andrew Shepard in the 1995 movie "The American President", and Obama often sounds as though he's taking lines right out of Douglas's script!

    I hadn't noticed, but after watching the movie again it would seem so. The part of that movie i had a hard time with was when Shepard ordered an attack to retaliate for an attack on American personnel, he set it up to take out the enemy HQ when it was empty. I would have hit the place in the middle of the day, when the people that actually ordered the attack were on duty.
