It's clear that she's very free with language and that she and her brother behave less than appropriately, making it hard not to call her a racist. The number of black friends one has and the number of blacks one has on their show does not prevent them being racist (I actually find it funny that having a friend in a marginalized group is often the first piece of evidence provided by an accused racist). More important to resolving this issue is knowing how she truly feels. I'm sure she doesn't think she's a racist, but the very thought of a "proper" Southern wedding including vestiges of an admittedly shitty era in American history seems to indicate that she might just be. How you behave when no one is looking is indicative of who you truly are.
****Side note****She also appears to be sexist, but that isn't really surprising either.

It's hard to say, as I'm not in her head. A lot of people are very careless with language. They may not quite mean the feelings their words imply.
