I can't make sense of it. My lady friend is 52 yrs. old, unemployed, never smoke or drank or did drugs, no at risk behavior, yet the cheapest I have found coverage for her amounts to $436 per month. She has no health issues either.

Everything seems changed since I was last here.

Can you describe what happened or what you saw? Please no trolls, serious question.

It somehow has taken over my computer browsers, eliminating Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. Now every time I click on any of those the conduit thing comes up. Before today I had instant access to MSN, Google, Mozilla, but now regardless of which I click on the "conduit" comes up.

My lady friend gave me three new frying pans of various sizes and I was wondering how best to break them in. Any suggestions? They are cast iron and heavy, not the teflon coated junk.

If so who could one contact to get them? The shows were on ABC from 1969 until 1971.

A friend of my Sister's repaired this pc and did not reinstall Windows Media Player. I cannot play or burn or store any CDs or DVDs now. I am not too smart when it comes to computers. I went on Microsoft to look up Media Players but all I could find were those I would have to pay for.

The union at my former company, Ford Motor Company, is urging the older workers to retire to make room for the hiring of 300 new workers. Do you think this is fair, especially if the older worker is no where near the age to draw Social Security? Do older workers in other countries feel that kind of pressure from their younger populations? Are we really that disposable?

Who is eligible and could such a system ever work in the U. S? Does Canada have a similar system as the British?

It seems like the Seniors I have known, including my Grandfather, went down hill rapidly after breaking their hips. My Dad didn't last long after having his hip replaced.

And do you think the nations of the world, especially China and Saudi Arabia, will abandon the dollar as their reserve currency? Will the dollar cease to be the monetary unit of trade in the world? If so what does that portend for the U. S?

Do you think given the facts that seven prosecution witnesses have recanted their testimony that there is enough reasonable doubt to halt the execution. If you are reading this and the execution of Troy Davis has already occurred what are your thoughts on it? I asked this in senior citizens because this is my favorite category and I respect the comments of most of the regulars here.

It's not even 10 PM yet but I am so sleepy. But if I go to bed this early I know I will wake up by 4 or 5 AM. Is this just a symptom of old age?

Today I received a letter stating that I had chosen not to receive medical insurance under Medicare. Then it said I would receive September's Social Security income on the fourth week of October. Does this mean I will not get my regular monthly check in September? Will I have to go two months with no income? Why would they stop sending me my monthly payment because I elected not to take Medicare? I have other insurance.
