So afraid of death I want to cry...CAN'T STOP WORRYING!?

I'm just terribly afraid of the idea of death. Knowing that when you go to heaven it goes on forever. Freaks me out... To me, everything comes to an end! If heaven lasts forever....When does it end? The though drives me insane. Hell I can't sleep because I'm so deeply afraid right now! Any help on not thinking so negatively and just being happy rather than scared 24/7!!

I was very afraid of death, too.

    But, listen, human beings die.

You ARE a human being, and you will die. Don't take it as a bad thing.

When you die, you won't even know it, and you're not the only one that will die.

We ALL die , silly <3 Nothing we can control so don't worry about it.

There's no sense in worrying in something you cannot control.

You're fine, and alive right now, right?

    That's all that matters.

Live life in the MOMENT :)

If it wasn't for death people wouldn't seek God, or answers. Death is a scary prospect when you do not understand it. You are as alive or dead now as you will ever be. You are Life and no matter how you manifest and what vehicle you manifest within you will always be alive. They use the words alive and dead meaning physically, but when you are out of your body you are very much alive and when you come back after the greatest experience of freedom ever you say, oh, no I'm alive, but who is the you that is saying that the you that was very much alive and aware when you were free of the body, the me that has a my the self that has a body? Learn to meditate and get in touch with your essence, understanding will make the fear go away. Some great stories of NDE's see http://www.nderf.org./ A good book to read is the Power of Now by Edkhart Tolle. Learn to live in the moment lest it pass you by unexperienced never to return. This is where you lose the most of life!

It might not be popular to think about death, but it is realistic. It's no accident that the world's greatest literature and philosophy deal with the fact that some day our lives will come to an end. Death is inevitable, and to deny it or ignore it is tragic.

But when we know Christ, death no longer grips us with fear—and the reason is because Jesus Christ has conquered death! How did He do this? He did it first of all by dying on the cross to take away our sins. You see, death came into the world because we have rebelled against God—which is what the Bible calls sin.

But by His death and resurrection Christ broke the chains of sin and death. We don't need to fear death any longer, because Christ has overcome it! The Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

I invite you to receive that gift right now by asking Christ to come into your life as your Lord and Savior. God loves you, and He does not want you to spend eternity separated from Him. Open your heart and life to Christ—and when you do, God will not only forgive your sins but He will adopt you into His family forever. Once you know Christ, you have "an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you" (1 Peter 1:4).

    Guess what

    You Will Die.

Everyone does. What is the point of worrying about something that you cannot control. If heaven exists, great. If not, you'll never know. Enjoy the time you have and quit obsessing about when it will be over.

Life after death is eternal, but it's not like this world, the concept of time is not even there I believe, that's why we have to try our best to be good in this world, so that we may enter heaven. There will be endless joys, which no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard....

honestly I used to be like that!! Until I went to a 9yr old girls funeral and everything that the priest said made sense to me..i started changing my persepective of death and realized it will happen sooner or later and when it does happen I will be at peace. I kept my mind off of it by looking for funny stuff before going to sleep by playing a game on my phone so I can get sleepy and knock out or by talking to someone to keep my mind off of it. But talking bout it and finding a positive perspective will help

You are lucky to be going to Heaven...and yes, you will go on forever without pain, and sadness...what is wrong with THAT? You are ruining your life worrying about it. When you grow up, you'll understand that you can't wait to get to Heaven.

It sounds to me like you have some kind of anxiety disorder but think about it, all this worrying about something that youll never know for sure is just a waste of time. Its called hypothetical worry, your worrying about something thats not even happening in your life or to you and about something that you cant control.Everyone dies, its a fact of life, if we all sat down and really started to think about it, we would probably all worry too but the difference with anxiety is that we worry about things excessively to a point where it begins to affect our everyday life.I have generalised anxiety, I have periods where I worry about things that havent even happened yet but my therapist is teaching me not to worry about things that I cannot control because its just a waste of my time and energy.Life in uncertain, no amount of worry is going to prepare us for things that can happen. You really need to talk to a professional that can help you put things into perspective

Be comforted you are not alone in death and every single person goes through it. Everyone sleeps at night , everyone dies. Everyone ignores death in the sunshine in mid day.
