Crown Victoria for first car?

So I need some advice on cars. I'm 17 and getting my first car in the next month. My grandparents are giving me a 2002 Crown Victoria for free ( this car is in almost PERFECT condition..no body damage and the seats had covers on them so no stains or rips) , my dad said if I take that offer he will pay for my insurance while I'm in college and if I go 6-9 months with the Crown Vic without any wrecks he will give me his 2011 Ford Escape. I don't usually see teenagers driving these types of cars so, Should I take this offer or take out a loan and try to buy another car?

Definitely take it! It's a free car. Not to mention Crown Vics are super comfortable, decently powered, and have a huge trunk. I think I would rather have that than the Ford Escape. Also, you can put a CB antenna on the trunk and nobody will pull you over.

Hmm...lets see, drive a free car for about 9 months without wrecking it, and get it replaced by another free vehicle that is almost brand new. That's one of the sweetest deals you're ever going to get in life, so take it!

Since it's free take the offer. It's better to have that now than get in way over your head with a new or pre-owned car.Save the money to buy whatever you desire.
