Red house...what color shutters?

We want to add shutters to our Big red house...We don't really want white. We would like something different...but not gaudy. Any suggestions for colors? thanks

I would go with a soft brown. Brown and red on houses look great together. Good luck with your house!

    Shutter Colors For Tan House

If you want dark colors, look into gray, slate blue, or forest green. Lighter colors would be yellow or tan (even natural wood with a clear coat).

Cream would work. Not quite as stark as pure white; grey would work; so would a neutral blue. Yellow would also work.
