What did I see Otter, Mink, Stoat or Weasel?

I was just out walking my Border Collie dog giving him a hug. His ears picked up and he became alert. He suddenly went for this animal, the animal got away. My dog was just acting on instinct so don't judge. If I see deer, hares, rabbits or pheasants I keep him on the lead.

This creature that my dog saw thankfully got away it had white markings on its neck, so I do not think it is a mink. But this creature could be an otter the only problem is the nearest river is a mile way, which is odd. So my guess is a Weasel or Stoat. Hopefully

Some mink on occasion will have a white spot on their throat. I have trapped some with the mark. But the tell tell sign here is size. We are talking a HUGE size difference here. Otter are 3 to 4 feet long. Mink are 18 inches to two feet. That leaves the weasel species. They are about a foot or so long and a little bigger than a quarter in diameter.
