How can anybody say Mark Sanchez is better than Matthew Stafford?

That's a slap in the face to Mr. 5000.

Sanchez has been carried by his defense and his running game in his 3 seasons while Stafford has had to carry his team.

Does Mark Sanchez even know it's legal to throw the ball more than 5 yards downfield? Lol C'mon man.

Update:

Matthew Stafford played great in his one playoff game against the Saints.

He had 3 picks because he had to force the ball down the field late.

Update 2:

@Green - Chaos said that.

@Terry - Like I said he was carried by his defense. You're always so quick to bring up Stafford's health problems stop being such a hater.

You get your feelings hurt too easily. ONE SEASON WHERE 20 QBs and 3 QBs PASSED FOR 4000 AND 5000 YARDS RESPECTIVELY MEANT THAT IT WAS JUST A GREAT YEAR FOR QUARTERBACKS.

You act like your job is to get on Y!A and defend Stafford, you're not his agent. Also Sanchez is 4-2 in the playoffs Stafford is 0-1. Sanchez has been in two back to back conference championships, Stafford none.

Oh and how is Stafford "Mr.5000"? Lets just forget about Brady who threw 250 more yards and Brees who threw 400 more yards. If it were up to me Brees would be "Mr. 5000" hes done it twice. But I realize that in 3-5 years everyones going to be passing for 5000 yds. So relax about his 1 good season.

My advice dont get so butt-hurt about Stafford and the Lions.

Ah, not this again. Nobody has said this. Ever. You just get extremely defensive about Stafford. He's good, he isnt Mr. 5000 and he's better than Sanchez. Compare him to those of his calibre, such as Jay Cutler or Cam Newton, not Pedro Sanchez. Stafford doesnt carry his team. The high picks they have had in the last few years (Megatron and Suh) have also been good. Yes, Sanchez can throw the ball downfield, and he doesnt have a 6'5, lightning fast receiver to make catches. Stafford is better, but lay off it a little, you attract criticism.

Source(s): This doesnt take away from the fact i answer your questions comprehensively and you never give me the best answer. Change your strategy or i will have to but you down as a massive douche.

Why Sanchez doesn't throw the ball down field

    1) Schotty's horrible game planning calls for curl and slant routes only

    2) He simply doesn't have enough time for his receivers to run the deep route because of his incompetent offensive linename name Wayne Hunter

I'm not saying Sanchez is better than Stafford anyways. I'm saying that Sanchez is a better playoff performer than Stafford and that Sanchez isn't as bad as you make him out to be (which is like 32-25 worst QB). I'm also saying that Stafford wouldn't be "Mr. 5000" without Megatron.. he would still get 4000 yards though.

Yes, of course they can. But if they do they have no idea about the season Stafford had. Stafford, in his first full season played at an elite level. Sanchez has not shown any development at all in my opinion in the last three years. he doesnt take chances, even though he has Holmes and Plax. I just dont understand what his problem is, he has the tools to be great but cant perform the way the jets expect him to. And a new contract? Please.

  • Sanchez does have a much better playoff record and has appeared in 2 AFC championship games. Stafford got blown out in his only playoff game.

That's disrespecting. Sanchez was led by his defense. Look at this year, no defense=Sanchez sucks the worst ever. Stafford has been good all around.

Cmon he played in two AFC Championships and Stafford has had trouble even playing! He may in the futrue prove to be better but as far as what the two accomplished so far I am giveing the nod to the guy who has played full seasons and won something in the postseason

They both suck, I guess Stafford is a little better. Helps him a little that he has the best WR in the league. Cutler > both.

Glassford had a Tommy Maddox year, nothing more will become of him. Megatron for a target and today's QB rules are why his ducks went the distance.
