Seniors,if you were undercharged in a shop would you own up ?
I was undercharged by just over £20 but did not realise until hours later as I had been distracted.I went back to the shop next day & paid up,would you have done the same ? The manager seemed astonished that I had even bothered but she was grateful

Yes because this person could be in trouble by a boss as thinking they had taken from the till. May even lose their job. Things can happen when people are distracted, also a cashier should give a customer a refund if they catch the error before the customer leaves.A mistake could occur when the till is counted and the cashier has too much money, so people were most likely distracted. It sure feels good to be honest.

Yes. Especially if it is a place where I shop regularly. You really should try to have a good positive relationship with the people you do business with.
If you have ever work retail you know what will happen at close out. There will be some body all worried about the cash drawer being off. Usually they find the error. Usually it is a black mark against the clerk/cashier. So if you have ever been there you know and would, like me, not wish to see anyone subject to the third degree.

I have been undercharged and yes, I paid up.
I also went through the drive through banking where I withdrew $60 dollars. I realized after I drove off that two twenties were stuck together and I actually had $80 dollars. Went back through the drive through and returned the money to a grateful teller.

I was just in a restaurant the other day and when I went to pay I told the cashier they forgot to charge me for my coffee and dessert and they were nice enough to say I didn't have to as it was their mistake. Honesty generally does pay off, but even if you think it doesn't it always makes you feel better when you know you are.

Yes I would.
I recently found a wallet with credit cards and $87.00 in it.
I didn't have time to track down the owner so I dropped it off at the police station.

Yes....I've done that before.
I've also gone back when I wasn't charged for something.
It's hard for me to sleep with a guilty conscience.
