It annoys me when it starts then I get used to it then it annoys me when it ends >.<

I feel annoyed when the clock on my laptop changes automatically in accordance with northern hemisphere daylight savings even though I live in the southern hemisphere.
It also annoys me that my laptop clock lists the date as "mm/dd/yyyy." That's so American. The day should be listed first, then the month then the year. It's the 11th of March, not the 3rd of November. Grr.
Edit:
@Blummdum,
Yes, I did that just now, but it wasn't letting me do it this morning. It just kept telling me that it had changed over because of daylight savings and refused to let me change the time zone. My laptop does that every year though because I system restore it and it goes back to the American time zone.
Thanks anyway, computer geek. :)

I don't mind it at all. But perhaps Bestica should give the following a shot:
Double click the clock in the bottom right of the screen
On the "Date and Time Properties" window that comes up, under Time Zone, select (GMT +12.00) Auckland, Wellington

Given the little thought I've ever put into it, I like it because it helps transistion to the longer or shorter days that come with the change of seasons
