I'd assume you miss out on some missions which lead to an overall lowered fighting force - and that feel that you missed *something*.

For example:

Without Legion you can't shut down the Geth fighter base which would in turn decimate the Quarians.

I'm just curious what happens with the Council and the Assassin - would he manage to kill some of the Councilors without Thane's interference?

Would you have to fight *more* Ravager (those modified Rachni) if you lack Grunt and could you do the mission to aid the Rachni?

Could you even cure the genophage to get the Krogan on your side without Mordin?

Damn... I guess I have to either make a 'mess up everything' save or find on on the internet.

But one thing is certain: Your team will always be at least Vega, EDI, Liara and Kaidan/Ashley - after all it is not possible to lose neither Liara (as she is not part of the suicide mission in ME2) nor Kaidan/Ashley (as neither is part of your team in ME2 due to the whole Cerberus business).

What do you think happens if all squad members died in ME2 except for those two who have to help you get in the ship? Then it would be Vega, EDI and those two? Or they're replaced with other characters which are...So what do you think? Thanks!

I think that you lose choices. You'll have Liara, vega, EDI, and the dlc character.
