Jays fans. Why wont Rogers show any games?
You figure with the excitement the off-season generated it might be a good idea to show at least a couple games a week. Not expected ever pre-season game to be shown but it just might be a good marketing tool to show the fans a few games and build off the interest in the team right now.
I'm assuming it might be a MLB issue..not sure..Can't see Rogers being that blind.

Sportsnet feels that the cost of producing and televising Jays preseason games just isn't worth it. weekday games just don't have the audience and weekends are filled with soccer. Occasionally they might show a Yankee or Red Sox game as a teaser but these are bought from other sources.
Putting a Jays broadcast team into Dunedin would be a logistics nightmare with visas and green cards being required for their Canadian crew. Radio and print media are exempt since the product is only aired back in Canada. When the regular season starts there are only a couple of the crew that need clearance since they normally use the local TV feed and supply only the audio.

I don't think many teams broadcast spring training games on their local tv. There is always some on MLB TV but it's usually Phillies or Yankees. All game are on radio though, the FAN 590 in Toronto.
