  • Madden 25 worth buying?

Been buying Madden off and on for years and find that its gotten worse (could care less about graphics and presentation). Just want realism ( no Patrick Ramsey throwing for 500 yards). Saw on the Internet that Madden 25 is not getting good reviews. Is it that bad? Worth buying? Madden cheesed me off when they took it off the PC and took away Fantasy Draft offline.

  • Packers fans...James Jones?

I made a bit of mistake and grabbed him higher (6th(t han I wanted in my Fantasy Draft because of a missed click!..See he had no catches on Sunday. Not even sure if they threw his way (didnt watch game).. Did I make a HUGE mistake. Sometimes WR go from 1st/2nd option to 4th in a hurry.

  • Does America forget French help?

Had a debate with a friend who threw out the customary "USA saved France twice" which in his view makes them "the better man". Why is it never (or rarely) mentioned that France greatly helped the US in their War for Independence and helped them out again in 1812. At the time France was a world power much like the US was during the 20th Century. Some would argue that without France there may be no USA (at the time anyways)

  • Did MLB give Braun a "slap on the wrist"?

Read somewhere where this 65 game suspension (65 meaningless games since Milw is out of it) will account for about 3% of his contact, which is nothing at all considering the appeared hatred Bud had towards Braun. Is it a rest of the season deal or rest of the season "and we will see" deal.

  • What happens if Kovalchuk wants back?

If the KHL were to fold or struggle financially and Kovalchuk decides to come back to the NHL in year or 2 or 3, is he still a Devil? or is he a FA? If he were a FA guess players just found an "out".

  • Why is Pat Burns not in the HOF?

Why is he not in the HOF?..He won 3 Jack Adams awards as coach of the year in his first season with 3 different teams (Mon, Tor, Bos). In his first year with the Devils he won the cup. The NHL HOF has to be the most messed up HOF committee. They had a chance for a rare "Hollywood Moment" in 2010 and put Pat in when he was dying.

Im trying to find 1 significant reason he is not in..Now that he is gone (RIP Pat) the HOF committee has no real pressure to put him in.

  • Rockies ptiching staff?

  • Will the Raptors be getting another call from NBA?

See the refs were up to their usual poor officiating in the Raps loss to the Hawks. DeRozan was obviously fouled (fairly hard) on the last shot. Will the league once again be calling them to apologize for an obvious last second blown ref call? (it will be the 3rd time)

  • Will HOF vote for more than 3 next year?

I believe the Baseball Writers have not voted in more than 3 players since 1947 and more than 2 since 1999. Is next year the year? So many new guys (Maddus, Glavine, Thomas) who seem worthy of first ballot. Add them to Biggio and Morris (sentmental last year?). Oh yeah, Bagwell, Kent, Piazza, Raines...Is going to be a crazy vote.

  • Are coaches and managers allowed to play?

For some reason I thought that I read somewhere that managers and coaches are technically allowed to play. I know years ago they did ( ie Eddie Collins was a coach with the A's and pinch hit occasionally).

Im assuming the can because of the history of player managers..ie Pete Rose.

  • white lineman and no black kickers?

    Have always wondered about this.

Why are there 1. so many white offensive lineman, considering black athletes dominate all defensive positions, Wr and Rb. You would figue that 4/5 of the line should be black but seems the opposite on many team.s

    2. why no black kickers or punters. Think I only remember 2 in recent memory (reggie roby and williams (forget first name)

  • RA Dickey press conference?

Just watched the RA Dickey press conference (taped it). After the trade a read a few "articles" on Yahoo and the writers were essentially saying that Dickey is a difficult, self-centered guy who 1. wouldnt want to play in Toronto or. 2. would hold them for ransome for more money.

From the press conference I have no clue where these comments came from. I find most conferences a waste of time but this one (40 minutes or so) was interesting. Zero cliches! Guy is intelligent, humble, a great humanitarian and understands his position (from what I can see).

He signed in Toronto quickly and didnt ask for a penny more than he wanted from Ny. He also is donated the max. allowed to Jays charity. Believe he also plans to live in Toronto during the season.

Was this a total act? Or was is sour grapes from some of the yahoo "writers"?

  • NHLPA pension issue? Any info out there?

Does someone have the info on what the players are asking for in terms of a pension? This is something I never heard of before and it kinda suprised me.

I heard something about 80% of their best years. Who pays this? I just assumed they paid into a pension fund like everyone else and that fund (controlled by the NHLPA) funds their retirement.

Are they expecting owners to pay it?

So if they want 80% is that for life? Seems like a pretty steep price to ask from the owners.

(I know they are greedy but thats asking alot)

  • Does Olympic Boxing need to go?

After watching the French and Canadian boxers get totally screwed by the Judges it is so obvious that the fights are pretty well pre-determined. i.e The Canadian won rounds 2 and 3 (no way the Brit got 4 pts in Round 3). Fight is tied, yet somehow the Brit wins on "countback" (which is basically a way for judges to fix a fight). Brit was warned 3 times about holding the head, but no point was taken away. Earlier an American got his decision overturned because of that exact problem, yet the Canadian's appeal was rejected without comment.

Olympic Boxing is the Summer Games Version of Ice Skating.

  • Steve Nash to T.O. Real or just a good faith move?

It was reported that Steve Nash had his shortlist of where he wants to go and Toronto was one of them. Is this really legit or is Nash trying to save face towards the Canadian fans. He is running Basketball Canada (GM). He did say that he doenst want to chase a championship, or something along those lines. Think he made reference to Karl Malone latching on to the Lakers in his last year, just to win a Title.

I think Nash stays in Phoenix.

  • What is up with Toronto's rotation?

In my many, many years of watching baseball I cannnot remember when 3 starter ptichers in 4 games all had to leave the game (and put on DL) with arm injuries. Only Henderson Alvarez made it through.

Has any seen this before? I know pitchers get hurt but to have 3 get hurt in the span of 4 starts is bizarre.

  • Jays fans. Why wont Rogers show any games?

You figure with the excitement the off-season generated it might be a good idea to show at least a couple games a week. Not expected ever pre-season game to be shown but it just might be a good marketing tool to show the fans a few games and build off the interest in the team right now.

I'm assuming it might be a MLB issue..not sure..Can't see Rogers being that blind.

  • Jays fans..Matt Garza?

Has reading the so called "experts" on ESPN and I believe I came across either a "suggestion" or a rumour of the Jays trading for Matt Garza for Kyle Drabek and Anthony Gose. This has to be a joke right?

I wouldn't mind Garza, but realistically what can they offer to get him. (no way am i trading Drabek or Gose to get him)?

  • Is this new Yahoo Profile update a virus?

Seems I downloaded an "updated" Yahoo Profile a day ago and all I can see is my name with a few lousy links. Gone is the ability to view your activity in Yahoo, mainly viewing your comments (and more importantly what you commented on)..Used to kill time seeing how some discussions went.

I can't see Yahoo releasing something that bad, so it much be a virus or something.
